The entire House Democratic caucus voted unanimously to remove the Republican Kevin McCarthy as speaker on Tuesday, joining eight mostly hard-right lawmakers in supporting a motion to vacate the chair. Refusing to intervene in a mess of Republicans’ own making, Democrats looked on as McCarthy was unseated, making him the first House speaker in US history to be removed from office.
Under the oversight of their new leader, Hakeem Jeffries of New York, House Democrats have marched in lockstep to challenge Republicans’ policy agenda, offering a stark contrast to the fractious conference that McCarthy tried and failed to unify. As they look to take back the House next year, Democrats hope to use the instability displayed this week to make a broader argument about the extremism that they say has come to define the modern Republican party.

The next House Speaker will be elected by the entirety of the Democrat House Caucus and eight or so moderate Republicans.
Notice how many stories today mention Republican “chaos”? The Democrats have given their media shills their marching orders.
The Democrats dreamt to sack McCarthy, seen by them as a “far right extremist”.
The Democrats manipulated 8 Republicans and got their dream fulfilled:
- They got rid of McCarthy
- They divided even further the Republicans
- They show the media how united they are
- They nourish their narrative that THEY are the medicine of stability vs the chaotic Republicans.
- They can now portray to the American general public that Republicans are unreliable.
This big mess is unfortunately a temporary win for the Democrats.
The only thing that can kill their narrative and break the momentum they now have gained, is if Trump steps in as Speaker of the House. It would produce a shockwave resetting the whole thing.

Biden and all of the Democrat Party have put the US in a very weakened position.
1. The US is no longer energy independent and must go to the international marker to buy its physical contacts (barrels of oil). If there is another oil embargo, Americans are SOL.
2. The Strategic Reserve is close to empty.
3. Biden gave billions of dollars to Iran/Hamas/Hezbollah. How many weapons were purchased with those dollars and from where (Afghanistan, Ukraine)?
4. How many terrorists have crossed the southern border. This attack on Israel was longtime in planning.

The founders had disagreements about many things even within their own “factions” or “parties”. However, they put the people first and not their own fortunes so disagreements were most often settled to the benefit of the people.
Our two party “uniparty” system of governance has replaced “people” with “party” in the sentence above much to our (the people) detriment.
We have 33T in debt because of this..... a massive tax upon each working American living and yet to be born. Our elites would have us believe that is a small price to pay for party unity.

But the meme of this thread is to point out how united democrats are of all stripes, from AOC types to blue dog types.
Dems are laughing their azzes off. Dems are the House minority, and still managed to sack the Republican Speaker.
Repubs need to quickly elect Jordan as Speaker. Otherwise Dems can say that Republicans can’t even run the House of Representatives and that the Democratic party is the only party with the ability to govern the country.
