The Dim View of Western Policy
Not that I could ever feel sorry for the "palestinians", I can't. But there is a big question as to how many of Israel's problems in life are of their own making
"I’ve kept an eye on this Israel situation for the past few days. Here’s what I’ve learned, & here are my blunt & honest thoughts:
1. Israel chose to ignore intelligence from Egyptian officials about a major attack coming from Hamas.
2. Multiple former IDF soldiers & Israeli intelligence personnel have come forward online and said there’s a zero percent chance Israel was unaware of this attack beforehand or couldn’t have prevented it.
3. We just watched unsophisticated terrorists on hang gliders soar into one of the most heavily-defended & surveilled countries on the planet.
4. Within 48 hours of the attack, we’re now suddenly seeing enormous support for an American war with Iran and the genocide of the Palestinian people.
I’m witnessing American pastors and formerly level-headed influencers in our world completely lose their minds and call for genocide.
It’s unsurprising, but insane to watch........."

blame Israel
typical Russian troll
The muslim world needs to be forced to find a place (in the muslim world) to put the “palestinians” and that place needs to be 1000 miles from Israel.
Do you take stupid pills??
It’s a conspiratorial bad take from a guy who has, at other times, had some very smart observations on other topics where he has better instincts.
Blame Muhammad.

There is another view of the situation - at least inside Israel - that most of the talking heads are not interested in. My son and family live just outside Israel in a mostly Arab neighborhood. His wife stated yesterday that many Israelis (not all of course) are now coming to the conclusion that the US, Mosad, the latest technology nor their own government can protect them and are turning back to God for help.
blame Israel
*******
No. He’s not blaming Israel. He is saying that Israel ignored Egyptian warnings that something was afoot and chose to focus on the West Bank instead.
He is saying that people are responding out of their emotions and not correctly analyzing the response—I saw this on the BBC last night when a lieutenant governor from Florida actually called for US “boots on the ground”, a stupidly overreaching response.
I think Israel needs to erase Hamas while understanding that the Palestinians are not represented by Hamas. All this talk about a nuclear response and US boots on the ground is reckless.
Further understand that Biden will fan the flames to protect his son and himself from being exposed as corrupt and inept.
When you can't get two basics like that right, your whole article is suspect.
All any of this tells me is that there needs to be a new Crusades.
the hysterical bloodlust I’ve seen on FR over this is off the charts. Most of those spewing homicidal and genocidal views probably know the absolute least about what they are talking about. Most likely they have never been to Israel or known a Palestinian, yet they feel such foaming-at-the-mouth hatred it is actually scary. Most people wonder how Hamas or any other group could whip their members into such a frenzy that they would massacre others, but after watching the response here over the last few days, I see how it can happen among those who have no real connection to a conflict, just imagine how much easier it is to whip people into a frenzy who have had to live with this conflict their entire lives, up close and personal.
Watch, as over the next few weeks the attention shifts from the atrocities committed to the humanitarian plight of the Gazans. It’s sad and infuriating, but that’s the way western media work. Mean ole’ Israel bombing the poor Palestinians again. Let’s send them money.
Thanks for sharing the latest Russian, Hamas, and Iranian talking points.
“I think Israel needs to erase Hamas while understanding that the Palestinians are not represented by Hamas.”
Um, actually Gaza voted overwhelmingly for Hamas. They got over 80% of the vote.

I do know that over the last several months Israeli soldiers and settlers have killed over 230 Palestinians on the West Bank. I also know that Gaza has been a powder keg for decades with vast overcrowding, unemployment, and poor living conditions, and has been bombed repeatedly by Israel. I assume that you will deny all that.
To take a more nuanced view - blame Netanyahu's Bolshevik enemies within the Israeli government, who might have thought that encouraging a Hamas attack on a rave full of Palestinian-supporting foreigners would produce an acceptable level of collateral damage to endure in order to blame and remove Netanyahu for his "weakness" - and didn't realize how far the situation would spiral out of control.
After all, look how far the same elements in our own government were willing to go to get rid of Trump.
This game is being played internationally, and needs to be questioned wherever it rears its head.
