Do your own reading! There are multiple reports that Jordan has agreed to allow commingled funding of the two, to vote on Ukrainian aid. Does he despite his previous opposition. So yes, he is trying to compromise, it’s up to our house representatives to turn this down.
I wouldn’t trust any MI results, but I would also chalk up MI-3 to outright racism and the candidate also being massively outspent.
As for OH-9, I haven’t researched it enough. Ohio is a bit better with clamping down on voter fraud, but anything within Demonrat-controlled areas are automatically dubious. OH-1 was dubious.

McCarthy was the speaker at the time he got marginally more votes than what Jordan just got. The fear of retaliation from the empowered McCarthy was obviously a factor.
Add to that most Republican voters prefer Jordan over McCarthy. Why one would discount that, I don't know.
Add to that McCarthy already colluded with Democrats to pass the debt limit increase and the latest CR. How one would also ignore that, I don't know.
Add to that McCarthy, the one who was "insurrected", supports Jordan. How one can ignore that, I don't know.
And finally, the use of the word "insurrection", similar to the way the media misueses the word, is kind of Uniparty creepy.
Gaetz acted heroically.
McCarthy got 180 on his first round back in January so Jordan has started off better. McC both was up and down after that but finally got to 217.The FC chair expects to lose a few votes in the upcoming round . This gonna take a few.

The House is currently voting on a quorum call, which establishes attendance levels. If all members are present given two vacancies, the threshold for Jordan to win is 217 votes. There are 221 voting Republicans, so Jordan can only afford to lose 4 votes.

That's because MOST of those voters are not suddenly turned deep red MAGA, they are MOR voters seeing the cognitive decline in Biden. For them, they go with the candidate they think can best run things, ideology(s) coming in second.
Polls show that, too, but try going out and talking to a broad spectrum of people, if naught else.
