One of the pro-Donald Trump fake electors charged in Michigan has agreed to cooperate with state prosecutors in exchange for getting his case dismissed.
James Renner, 76, is the first defendant to strike a deal with prosecutors. Attorney General Dana Nessel, a Democrat, charged the group of 16 fake electors earlier this year.
This is the most significant development in the case since Nessel filed the charges in July. She was the first prosecutor in the nation to charge anyone in connection with the Trump-backed fake elector scheme.
As part of the deal, Renner agreed to provide “complete and truthful testimony whenever called upon” by prosecutors, at any hearings or trials related to the 2020 fake electors, according to court filings. This includes describing what happened in the room where he and others signed the sham certificate in December 2020.
A November 19, 2020 photo shows Sidney Powell speaking during a press conference at the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, DC.

Like all of the other defendants, Renner originally faced eight felony charges, including forgery and conspiracy to publish a false statement. If he provides misleading or false testimony at any future cases, prosecutors could refile the felony charges.

None of these individuals is a “fake” elector. They are legitimate “alternate electors.”
So the Lesbian witch AG muscled a 76 year old to get him to hang the others. That worthless rino Snyder vetoed a bill that would have limited the power of the bitch on his last day in office.
I wonder why no one on the left was investigated and charged with election interferrence for pressuring electors in 2016 to not vote for Donald Trump in states that he won (several DID, in fact, refuse to vote for him as pledged.)
Some states have laws requiring electors to vote a certain way (with consequences) and others do not. In the states where it’s a crime to break one’s pledge i assume anybody who conspires to break the pledge is guilty of conspiracy. But in the other states where its not penalized, it might be ok?
No such thing as “fake” electors
“Cooperate” means you have to tell them what THEY want to hear and you get of the hook.
Whether breaking your pledge as an elector is legal or not, the fact is that these electors were put under intense pressure to change their pledged vote. That’s my point.
There seems to be a trend with these weak cases and their associated light plea deals.
