Ukraine breaks through enemy lines in Russia-controlled south: ‘Russian losses are really staggering’

Ukrainian forces ramped up their attacks on Russian-held territory in the south while holding off Moscow’s assaults on the eastern town of Avdiivka, according to military experts and officials.

The Ukrainian military broke through the enemy lines after intensified assaults across the Dnipro River, near the southern city of Kherson.

“Ukrainian actions appear to be larger than previously observed tactical raids,” the think tank Institute for the Study of War said in a report.

In the town of Avdiivka, just nine miles from the Moscow-controlled city of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, Kyiv’s forces managed to repel and hold their ground against Russia, which launched relentless assaults there earlier this month, President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed.

“Thanks to all our boys, who powerfully hold the defense and destroy the occupier day after day,” Zelensky said in a video posted on Telegram.

“These days, the Russian losses are really staggering, and it is precisely losses by the occupier that Ukraine needs.”

ISW has thoroughly embarrassed themselves during this war. This is the fourth time they've reported a Ukraine breakthrough in Zaparozha since June.

Putin will not quit this.
For him, it’s existential.
Like the Mob wars of the 20s & 30s, and gang wars now in ChiRaq. Criminals fighting criminals.

Not our fight
Not our war
Not my kids, not yours.
Not one more penny.

Let the thugs kill each other.

My mistake, I actually read the article. The New York Post headline states "Ukraine breaks through enemy lines," but the article itself does not indicate where Ukraine has actually broken through enemy lines. More BS to get more money and weapons, as usual.

And they did all that without any kind of air cover, bless their little hearts.....

BWWWAAAAAAAAhahahahahaha hahahaha hahahaha ho ho hoho hoho hoho haaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hahahaha hahahaha ho ho hoho hoho hoho haaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha hahahaha ho ho hoho hoho hoho haaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha hahahaha ho ho hoho hoho hoho haaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha hahahaha ho ho hoho hoho hoho haaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha hahahaha ho ho hoho hoho hoho haaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....

You clowns are really too much,,,

New Anthem for what's left of Ukraine

Aside from the world's highest COC (Coefficient of Corruption), Ukraine, in the past, has been noted for having one of the world's prettiest national anthems

That obviously isn't going to work in future time. I would suggest that a new anthem for whatever is left of the place needs to say something about going over minefields instead of charging into them... Helicopters would not work for that, they'd just be shot down by Russian air defense systems. The answer has to involve cannons...

Bobby Darin to the rescue

New Lyrics:

Goodbye cruel world
I'm off to join the circus
Off to become a supersonic clown
Shoot me from a cannon I don't care
Past them Russian minefields through the air
I'll tell the world them Russians
As mean as they could be
Them mean evil Russians
Made a flyin clown outta me....

--- "From the NYPost article -- "the think tank Institute for the Study of War said in a report. "

And then from the same NYPost article -- "Zelensky said in a video posted on Telegram."

And then again from the same NYPost article -- "Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba confirmed to reporters the U.S. would continue to supply Kyiv with the advanced missiles, The Telegraph reported."

So the NYPost has no original reporting, but rather pass-through from ISW, Zelensky and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, via a website, a Telegram channel and a pass-through from Ukraine to the Telegraph to the NYPost.

"...then you merchandise it and then you write it and they'll say see it's reported in the press that this this this and this so they have that validation that the press reported the smear and then it's called the wrap-up smear now i'm going to merchandise the press's report on the smear that we made and that's it's a tactic and it's it's self-evident..."

Nancy Pelosi explains 'wrap-up smear'

For whatever reason, you obviously believe the New York Times, the most propagandist paper in the nation.

Nobody from the US will go to Ukraine.

Our money helps them defend Ukraine and I support it fully.
What? Seriously, you want more money going to Leftist pigsuckers in the Blue states or BLM money or Pali payoffs?

Russia is best when it is down. This is their Vietnam. It meeans less focus on Nato and more of a shift to the Pacific and the real threat, China.

It’s the Post’s headline, not ISW’s. ISW is talking about events near Kherson.

A fascinating assertion. The other day I'd inquired of Timber Rattler, "Please identify the 'pro-Kremlin posters'." No response.

A similar question for you: Which Freepers "only follow Russian propaganda?"

It would be interesting to learn from you who they are.

--- "ISW is talking about events near Kherson."

From ISW, as cited above: "Ukrainian forces reportedly advanced south of Bakhmut and in western Zaporizhia Oblast amid continued counteroffensive operations on October 19."
