I really don’t understand these people. It’s a cold peace, which is to say Egypt’s rulers go against popular sentiment which would really like to revisit Muhammad’s grisly pogroms to the bitter end. Why take the risk?

I remember a quite a few years ago when tourist busses to the ancient sites were being ambushed and tourists killed.
