Ordinary people didn’t have AR-15s before 2004. They’re not some time-honored American tradition, they’re a recent mistake that we could fix and save thousands of lives in the process.

Try finding .348win for a Model 71, nearly impossible. Good Moose or Bear gun, I also inherited the trophy mounted Moose :)
It needs a “Hello Kitty” sticker on the mag well.
In 2008 she went on a rant against GM because her family had a bunch of auto dealerships closed.
My daughter had this on hers..............
Hah!
Give us dirty laundry ...
Perfection.
This isn't her, but it looks just like her...........
I must not be “ordinary” then as I bought my first COLT AR-15 back in 1970. Wish I still had it.
Bought another during the joke of Clinton’s A-s-s-ault Rifle ban (Hint: they were never actually banned. Only certain things on the rifle were banned and those listed as banned simply changed the name to”Target Rifle” and were still for sale all through the ban.)
***They’re not some time-honored American tradition,***
Say what? Semi auto rifles have been for sale in the USA since 1906 with the Remington Model 8 and Winchester semi-auto of about the same year1 That is 117 years ago!

And yet another celebrity succumbs to foot-in-mouth disease.
gretch..just stick to what you did best, walking around with a crown on ya head..
Good enough for MISS AMERICA 1962 to shoot it is good enough for us today!
The AR-15 is not used by any military in the world AND NEVER HAS BEEN. It has never been a (made up term here) “weapon of war”.
Knives have been weapons of war.
Black powder muskets have been weapons of war.
AR-15’s never have been.
Gretchen Carlsen is a former beauty queen not a fountain of knowledge.
Interesting. Last week, I read on Wikipedia that AR-15s were first sold to the public in 1989?
Wikipedia is left-wing ‘open source’, so anyone can write anything they want...............and they tell us WE are spreading ‘disinformation’!..............
Did she just pull the year 2004 out her butt?
“she doubles down here

Thus proving.... that she is both ugly and stupid....
which is no way to go through life, unless you just can’t help it.
Technically sorta true ... but it's a crummy argument. "It's a weapon of war" means "it's specifically protected by the Second Amendment". The whole "thporthing purpotheth" concept is straight out of the Third Reich, and we must reject it.
The Second Amendment protects target shooting and hunting, but that's not why we have a Second Amendment.
The Second Amendment protects self defense against common criminals, but that's not why we have a Second Amendment.
The Second Amendment exists so that we have the ability to defend against domestic tyrants and foreign invaders. As such, "weapons of war" are most strongly and directly protected by the Second Amendment.
