The Army Suddenly, and Chaotically, Told Hundreds of Soldiers They Have to Be Recruiters Immediately

Without warning, hundreds of noncommissioned officers were ordered via email to report to the recruiting school at Fort Knox, Kentucky, in less than a week, with hundreds more set to start at the school in December -- a sudden unexpected move by the Army as the service scrambles to boost its recruiting force by 800 by the end of the year.

The orders came after a breakdown in how the Army tracks how many recruiters it has coming through the pipeline along with retention of existing ones, according to Lt. Gen. Douglas Stitt, the Army's top personnel officer. The sudden depletion of recruiters caught Army planners flat-footed, with officials unable to provide a clear explanation as to what went wrong. Now, NCOs will likely have to move during the holiday season and in the middle of the school year, sowing chaos for families.

"Given the six-day heads up, we have zero time to plan child care," one noncommissioned officer told Military.com on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media. "We can barely find and afford child care during the week as it is, so now my wife may end up having to quit her job entirely because it is impossible to find on the weekend."

The Army has roughly 10,000 recruiters, but that force has been bleeding troops over the past year. The 800 emergency recruiting students will allow the service to maintain its numbers. Recruiters have reported to Military.com in recent months of working longer hours and, in some cases, getting fired for missing quotas.

They want a draft so they can send all young, legacy US citizen, straight, white males to their deaths.

Don't kid yourself. They want to draft/corrupt our daughters as well. Just think about how many of the freaks running our country were on Epstein's list...

Back when I was on AD, not many wanted to be on recruiting duty or drill sergeants.

I saw them bring in reservists to fill some of the drill sergeant slots, especially for the summer encampments.

For recruiters, they made a concession that they would give them almost a guarantee of their choice in follow-on assignments.

I also saw recruiters who chose that assignment as their last assignment before separating from the service; they'd move to the geographic region they wanted to separate from and finish up their degree while even recruiting students from the same college. Once their tour was done, they had already set themselves up with their degree and a job on the outside.

In addition to the 8,300 you reference (Post 37), how many potential recruits will never go into the service because of the Pfascist mandates?

How many who were in and took the Jim Jones Jab, have left because they won't put themselves in the same situation again?

Recruiting has always been considered a cush posting. I don’t think there are a lot of complainers.

Not really. Most soldiers hate it. It is soul crushing with rigid unreasonable quotas. Often considered a career ender.

Plus the family disruption right around the holidays -- it is making many submit their papers to get out.

I was assigned to assist a recruiter for a few weeks. It isn't something I would care to do again. It was very much like I imagine a telemarketing job would be like. Cold call a number, read a prepared script, and get turned down. Over and over. That's pretty hard, especially if one is strongly introverted.

All of those people suddenly being sent to recruiting school must have had someone recommend them for a recruiter position in their performance evaluation. Not just anyone can be a recruiter. I don't see how they would have been selected otherwise. It's just bad planning that led them to being ordered to turn up on such short notice. Bad planning reflective of disorder at the very top... like one would expect from a senile commander in chief.

“First, I would think being a military recruiter would be a cushy job.

Second, You are in the military and complaining about getting orders on short notice. That is what the military does. You would think by now they would have known this. Or were they in cushy do nothing positions riding out their enlistment.”

Recruiting duty is the worst. It is hated. Plus to drop this right before the holidays it going to cause a lot damage to Army families that are already on the ropes because of the nonsensical high training tempo and non-stop long duration rotations to training areas.

This will drive good NCO’s out of the Army. The Army says while recruiting is down, retention is fine.

I guess they want to ruin retention as well.

"The Draft is coming."

Will the garbage tribe that rukes have the courage to force their illegal alien pets into A war? If they institute the draft and try to force a war only on American citizen boys while young illegals named Jose, Mohammed, and Qiáng fornicate with their girlfriends then there will be civil war.

Well, they are in the Army. When they receive an order, they have to obey it.

Good luck with that. There are orders and there are orders that say "you've got six days to pick up and move everything", not because of war or engagement but because "some bureaucrat screwed up and we need recruiters".

They can be given an order but they can intentionally fail spectacularly at it.

If the brass and staff at headquarters personnel center did this to you today, why jump higher just to have them do it to you again except next time, instead of getting six days notice, you'll be lucky to get three?

Nope. They are lowering standards as much as they can and sending all qualified (at the lower standards) to USREC school. It is forced.

They will do additional assessments after school or after they report to school. So there will be plenty of soldiers that will be disqualified AFTER reporting to school.

Recruiting will take care of itself, if the forces focus on mission readiness and excellence.

If they do bring back the Draft I would think in today’s world females would have to be included. That’s not going to go over very well.

And arrest the ones who resist and execute them for desertion.

Hamas didn’t surprise anyone in the gov. Israel knew what was coming.

In this case it’s the same thing. DC knows things they aren’t divulging that pertain directly to the security of citizens of the country.

I'm guessing you never served in the army. Recruiting is a hard, thankless task that most NCO’s try to avoid like the plague. I've seen careers and marriages ended by the stresses of a posting to a recruiting billet. And, just because the army can order folks to move on a dime, doesn't mean it should. Real leadership would found a way to minimize or eliminate snatching NCO’s and families to a remote post in the middle of the school year. Try finding affordable housing and schools in the E-town area.

You can order them to report, but they just may vote with their feet when it comes time for Their reenlistment. Now you've lost a trained and experienced NCO.

We're eating our seed corn.
