Former President Donald Trump’s counsel, Christopher Kise, suggested in court Friday that the legal team may consider pursuing a mistrial in the civil suit brought by the state of New York in light of a report from Breitbart News.
At the center of the argument is Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle’s report that New York County Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron’s top clerk, Allison Greenfield, “appears to have violated judicial rules preventing officers of the court from making excessive political donations.”
(snip)
As Boyle reported, it seems Engoron was advised of the violations laid out in a complaint filed to his court from a third party:
…it appears Engoron was advised of Greenfield’s violations in a 72-page complaint addressed to his court via email that was also filed with the New York State Bar Association the same day he decided to issue a gag order against former President Donald Trump in his case currently playing out in Engoron’s Manhattan courtroom.
Engoron said Friday, “It’s not information, it’s an allegation!” according to Rosoff.

So if the judge was notified, and the clerk was kept on....
I would be requesting a hold on any and all communications between the judge, clerk, and 'third parties'.
But I'll settle for a mistrial.
Mistrial?
The misconduct of holding back the information and then fining Trump for exposing it should lead to the “judge” losing his seat. And THEN disbarred.
I would settle for the judge getting tried for insurrection.
Easy enough to prove if the records haven't mysteriously vanished.
And yet, in spite of everything he has learned about the lame allegations against Trump he lets the trial continue. Hypocrite.
So, does the judge plan to ignore all of the?
Laws and rules don't "prevent" violations. They prohibit them and/or establish sanctions.
Regards,
This shows that the Judge acted subject to a clear actual conflict of interest in imposing a gag order on Trump. He had an interest in protecting his clerk against having what appears to be clear proof of misconduct that conflicted with his duty to be fair, impartial, and protect the defendant’s constitutional rights. Which absolutely justifies a mistrial and his removal from this case.
I am amused by the picture of him in a baby blue long-sleeve shirt, looking like Harpo Marx. How can it be taken seriously?
But it won’t.
“Engoron said Friday, “It’s not information, it’s an allegation!” according to Rosoff.””
He forgot “credible”. It is a “credible” allegation. Remember how that term has been used against Trump and other conservatives. “Credibly accused” they would say. Repeatedly.
Bump for later
So, does the judge plan to ignore all of the?Sure.
He's in New York; there's no downside.
He'll probably get a bonus.
The Judge should be Indicted for Deprivation of Rights under the Color of Law.
His demeanor, his comments, his “intellect”, his “knowledge” of the law and his dress make me think of a kindergartner playing a judge in a school play.
He didn't forget. He knows the synonyms for credible include plausible, reasonable, able to be believed, worthy of trust, belief or confidence, etc. He didn't want to give any more weight to the word allegation.
The Democrat Party Organized Crime Syndicate.
What kind of personal relationship does Engoron’s top clerk have with him?
“What kind of personal relationship does Engoron’s top clerk have with him?”
Kneepads, well worn couch in the judge’s chamber, or a seedy motel on the outskirts of town.
Huh. Sounds like the guy just discovered "due process".
But it only applied to him.
