Utah prosecutors have charged a former county clerk with three felonies and other counts for allegedly shredding and otherwise mishandling ballots from the 2020 and 2022 elections.
The alleged misdeeds involved ballots cast by about 5,000 voters in Juab County, a desert area of west-central Utah with about 12,000 residents.
Former Juab County Clerk/Auditor Alaina Lofgran is accused of allowing ballots to be shredded soon after the 2022 election in violation of a law requiring their preservation for at least 22 months. The law is for aiding recounts.
Lofgran also improperly stored ballots from the 2020 election, keeping them in a basement storage room accessible by multiple county employees and easily visible, prosecutors allege in charging documents filed in Utah state court Thursday.
State law requires ballots and election returns to be locked in a safe and secure place.

It wasn’t a perfect election twice?
I’m gonna need some smelling salts here....
So, since you Googled it, were you going to tell us?
Republican
Phawk.
The corrupt press covers for democrats as much as they can... Here's what we know - if it had been a Republican doing this - it would have been mentioned in the headline or first paragraph.

Jail her ass!
WOW - and it was ABC News / AP...
I’m impressed.
Thanks for the correction.
Guilty!!!! Now for the sentence. I vote for the Chair for gross election fraud/ tampering.
As Arizona has showed us, Republicans can be just as dirty as Democrats.
Back in the 1980s, I had to return to my county (during my Air Force years) for a renewal on the driver’s license. I had to go and deal with the county clerks.
It was one of those experiences that brought out the incompetence of these clerks. I don’t think any of them had the mental capacity or maturity of an adult. It wouldn’t shock me if the gal here in this case has no political persuasion and was simply dimwitted.

22 months passed at midnight of Sept. 9th, 2021.
Now the 2022 elections ballots are a problem. 😋
A Republican, Lofgran was Juab County clerk from 2015 to this year. She did not seek reelection in 2022.
But that could easily be missed. 🙂
She looks like a Relief Society President.
Looks like a narrow minded and hateful HS counselor
