As Black Voters Drift to Trump, Biden’s Allies Say They Have Work to Do

Black voters are more disconnected from the Democratic Party than they have been in decades, frustrated with what many see as inaction on their political priorities and unhappy with President Biden, a candidate they helped lift to the White House just three years ago.

New polls by The New York Times and Siena College found that 22 percent of Black voters in six of the most important battleground states said they would support former President Donald J. Trump in next year’s election, and 71 percent would back Mr. Biden.

The drift in support is striking, given that Mr. Trump won just 8 percent of Black voters nationally in 2020 and 6 percent in 2016, according to the Pew Research Center. A Republican presidential candidate has not won more than 12 percent of the Black vote in nearly half a century.

You must consider that the Democrats are essentially a party of upper middle income whites. Look at cities like Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia for example. Fifty years ago, the suburban counties and the affluent neighborhoods in the city limits were solidly Republican, albeit usually moderate Republican of the George Romney or Hugh Scott type. Now they are Democrat dominated. Look at the Jackson Hole area of Wyoming. When it was mostly a ranching community, it was solidly Republican. Now it is dominated by rich people and the types that live in resort communities, it is the one blue spot in deep red Wyoming. Parallel to this shift, rural whites, except for a few areas in New England and the coastal West, have abandoned the Democrats. The few areas in the urban Northeast that supported Trump tend to be moderate income, Catholic areas like Staten Island.

Black Americans and native born Hispanic Americans have far more in common with blue collar and rural whites than with the country club crowd. The wealthier whites are now mostly liberal. They dominate the Democratic Party. As this realization creeps in, there will be a voter shift. The Democratic leadership knows this, which explains the open border, the goal of which is to replace the native population with a new people, who the elite whites think they will control.

Yeah. Their “work to do” is upgrading their cheat machine. No matter how many “red and yellow, black and white” people vote for Trump, they won’t permit him to be inaugurated in Jan. 2025. As Pelosi said, “You can take that to the bank”.

I think if you pay or have paid into society, then you should get the right to vote in a democracy.

If a woman has worked and paid taxes, used services etc. then she should have the right to vote.

That’s why I think the right to vote should be moved to 25+ and after 1 year of “service to the country” - which can be military or service volunteers etc.
