There is no jury.
This type of trial is almost always held before a judge. Trump should have argued for a jury months ago. That ship has sailed.
The document seems to be nothing new, and already talked about over and over again - the “disclaimer clause” stating that everyone (banks, insurers etc) needs to do their own due diligence and that the financial statements are best effort estimates on behalf of the property owner.
It is the continuation of a years-long coup. What is the penalty for that?
I guess it depends on the ruling. If they try to take his properties away from him that may indeed be the path they have to take.
"Courts" DO NOT WORK. They are a collection of lying bumbling fools with power, but no integrity or brains.
If they ever get anything right, it's an accident, or so blatantly obvious that they simply can't get it wrong.
Our legal system needs to be repaired. It is dysfunctional.

Good lawyers would have taken care of this months ago. Trump doesn’t have good lawyers. No one wants to work for him.
He is screwed. He won’t go to jail over this, but they will be tied up in appeals for years. This will cost him millions. It has the potential to cost him a lot more than that.
But, the folks who love him will rally ‘round without realizing he is making a fool of himself. He whining sounds like every other person arrested and trying to convince people “he was framed!”

Saying that Trump thought he would be introducing evidence by handing to the judge is moronic even for them.
My understanding is that there is no jury. Just a left wing judge and DA that hate Trump. This is what constitutes justice to todays America.
He knows it and his lawyers know it. It was a stunt. The document is probably already presented as evidence. They are creating a record for appeal.
No doubt in my mind these commies will “Epstein” Trump. They are just trying to figure out how to work around the SS.

There is a fundamental misunderstanding by FReepers who think that somehow the norms of the past are intact.
There is no cult. There is populism ascendancy and there is nothing that can be done about it.
Anyone else could say what Trump does and gather the same support, but they can’t because they are career politicians and that is the very specific category the people reject.
This is the crushing reality the folks desperately hoping this is a “cult” get wrong, and it’s an error that maybe is not correctable.
They are destined to endure misery for a very long time.

It would have to jump jurisdictions to become a federal court case. What constitutional right would he claim had been violated?

Yup. Same thing with DC. They even tried to move the documents case out of Florida into the corrupt idiot courts of DC, but the Judge wasn't having it.
Florida is the only place where Trump might get a fair trial, though in my opinion, the only fair thing to do is to dismiss the case with prejudice.

Fake charges by a fake DA in a fake court will lead to a fake conviction. Justice is dead in America.
