A Secret Service agent assigned to protect President Joe Biden’s eldest granddaughter, Naomi Biden Neal, opened fire late Sunday as several people were breaking into an unoccupied government vehicle, the agency's spokesman said Monday.
The agents detailed to her "encountered possibly three individuals breaking a window on a parked and unoccupied government vehicle," said Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the Secret Service. "During this encounter, a federal agent discharged a service weapon and it is believed no one was struck."
The individuals immediately fled the scene in a red vehicle, and a regional lookout was issued to supporting units, he said.
"There was no threat to any protectees and the incident is being investigated by the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service," Guglielmi said.
He didn't provide any additional details about the circumstances of the incident.
A source familiar with the investigation confirmed to NBC News that the Secret Service agents had been assigned to protect Naomi Biden.
The incident happened outside her residence in Georgetown. The source did not believe she witnessed any of it.
D.C. police referred all questions to the Secret Service.

The reality they were shooting at someone trying to break into an empty car unmarked secret service and that had nothing to do with her.

Let’s just think for a moment about what we’re seeing here: a Grandfather kissing his Young Adult Granddaughter directly on the lips over and over while allowing a camera to capture the moment. Thats weird. Would never EVER have happened in my family or any family we knew of.
If Old Joe allows this rather “intimate” moment to be casually snapped, what else has gone on after the last cameraman left (in disgust)?

You're missing one other key (and perverse) element of this picture. Notice what the grandaughter is doing with her right hand. It seems she has a natuaral instinct to hike up her skirt when Grandpa lip locks her.
Well, at least they got the color of the vehicle! That should narrow down the search!

Where I live, private citizens, who use deadly force to shoot at people doing minor property crime (breaking into a car) when the vehicle is unoccupied, can face some heavy penalties.
Yes, deadly force is easy to justify is someone is in immediate physical danger, but this was an unoccupied care from what I read earlier.
In this era of BLM, you would think that the Secret Service would either be better trained or have a more convincing cover story of what really happened.
