Why is DeSantis doing so bad? I read today even Biden would beat DeSantis, what the hell?

He's inauthentic and disloyal and he hasn't been in Florida for months. Any future political aspirations are gone.

he exposed himself as a a fake phony fraud on the national level. He gets an endorsement from Trump and then stabs him in the back. He promises voters he wants to be elected Governor and then on day one after inauguration he runs for President. Total display of bad judgement combined with a personality to match Hillary. Should have supported Trump and learned some more.

I think what’s going on is that the stolen 2020 election is a much bigger deal to grass roots Republican voters than Republican elites realize.

Speaking just for myself, I’m extremely bitter about it and I just can’t stand the idea of anyone but President Trump being the nominee. Anyone else would seem like moving on, letting bygones be bygones - business as usual.

I think just about a everyone that voted for Trump in 2020 feels the same way - they f-ing STOLE an election and we are not just going to forget about it and go through the usual routine of debates and primaries to pick a nominee. Trump won in 2020 and the 75 million people that voted for him got totally screwed. Putting Trump back in the White House is the ONLY way to put things right.

Because of this underlying seething anger in the grass roots, it actually feels like a betrayal that DeSantis and the other Keebler elves would run against him.

Hell, instead of running against him, every one of those candidates should have been defending Trump from the beginning - they should have been outraged about the fake impeachments, the stolen election, the January 6 Fedsurrection, the bogus indictments.

For seven years, the deep state has been ruthlessly attacking President Trump for daring to put America First. He is the best thing to happen to the Republican Party since Ronald Reagan, and how do these ingrates repay him? They run against him? Screw that.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I believe that is why DeSantis, an otherwise great Republican, is doing so poorly - he should never have challenged Trump and neither should any of the others. Not this time - we Trump voters are still bitter about 2020 and we expected Republican leaders like DeSamtis to have Trump’s back, not run against him.

And if you don’t believe me, just look at the polls.

DeSantis does not connect well with voters. His personality is boring.
