Some of us — weren't even half-joking when we said that if 9/11/2001 had been 9/11/2023, thousands or millions of Americans would take to the streets in support of al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

Thanks in part to TikTok, a segment of American youth is moving very quickly from a lame moral equivalence between Israel and Hamas to thinking bin Laden was right to murder 3,000 people on 9/11.
Ban TikTok and ban it now.

My 15 year old son has no phone. My 19 year old daughter lives at home, but has almost no data on her $10 plan. I block TikTok at the router.

I have asked people how kids having access to social media improves their lives and have yet to get a response that is persuasive.
And the worst part is we took God out of the schools.
I usually consider the Tic Tokers as a bunch of morons who rely on “influencers” to guide them from cradle to grave. Real losers. The original No Brainers when no brainer described those without brains.

Baloney. Tiktok is stiff competition for Zuckerberg and that’s it. It’s a superior product to Facebook and Instagram and is blowing them away in growth, so Zuck called his purchased congressmen and demanded action against his competitor.
When this anti-tiktok movement started last spring, I didn’t know anything about it. So I tried it. I found it to be a superior product and very positive. A session of doomscrolling on X, Instgram or Facebook leaves you agitated and annoyed. TikTok quickly learns what you enjoy and tailors it to your interests. You can click on a post and see less of them in the future.
You like music, Roman history, Jordan Pederson, travel suggestions and Horses... that is what you’ll get.
You like comedy, dog videos, airplanes and accoustic guitar, that is what you’ll get.
The main risk is that you’ll use it too long. It can be as addicting as any other. But a long session of it doesn’t leave you pissed off and in a bad mood like X, or the others. It’s a very good product.
And danger of my data being stolen by China? Make me laugh... I avoid that by sending it to Zuck, San Francisco, Apple, and Google? Please.
The hate on TikTok is because it is not easy for the FBI to get into it and make them do things for DC.

Another wonderful feature of Tiktok in the even your teen has it is what is called the TikTok challenge. them open it and select “for you”. Go through ten recommended videos and see what is recommended. That tells you with precision what Junior is looking at.
If a single video of woke crap, porn, atheist pagan crap, drugs etc. appears, THAT is what he is searching for and watching.
But if it’s deer hunting, decent music, how to do guitar chords, Jordan Pederson, and how to pay for college without loans... you can quit worrying.
It serves up a good product, and the best method I have seen for parental control over what they are seeking out.
That’s just a fact. But too many people are being stampeded now into doing Zucks bidding and taking down a tough competitor.
