A new controversy has broken out in Europe over the use of the so-called "pain grip" by German police. More specifically, it's a restraint technique being used to remove climate change protesters who are blocking roads and otherwise causing chaos in public.

A recent viral video showed police using the move on a man who was sitting in front of a bus, ignoring orders to get up. As he's carried onto the sidewalk, you can see his right hand being forced down to put pressure on his wrist. The man can be heard screaming as if he's feeling the worst pain ever visited on any human in history.

The police were obviously not intending to inflict pain. They were also filming the arrest, something they would not do if they were deliberately inflicting pain. It’s all drama. Being physically picked up and moved may not be comfortable, and injury may result, but that was clearly not the Polizei’s intention, or the result.

I think that a pain billyclub would be much more effective.

Nothing a good smack over the head with some Hickory wouldn’t cure.

Find the video of the Paiute Tribal police REMOVING protesters from the road blockage going into Burning Man.

Wish I knew their outcome.

Old time police used to use a device called the “claw” that would clamp around a detainee’s wrist. Pretty effective in gaining compliance…

Wouldn’t it be easier to just shot these scumbags in the head and drag the to the side of the road for the crows to eat?

I hope we see more of this. Little twats of this generation scream like spoiled toddlers every time something doesn’t go their way anyway, so no sympathy from me.

Get the jerks out of the streets and stop the little a-holes from impeding traffic,

Whatever it takes.

I recently saw an episode of MASH on MeTV where a Korean officer used that move on Frank Burns. I think it was Season 4 Episode 16 "Dear Ma" where Radar writes a letter to his mother.
