Democrats are already gearing up for Virginia’s 2025 elections after the party’s successful showing earlier this month in the state’s off-year elections.
Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) announced Monday she is running for governor in 2025, while Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney (D) has reportedly been gathering staff in preparation for a gubernatorial run as well. Democrats are also eager ahead of next year’s federal elections. Eugene Vindman, one of the high-profile witnesses in former President Trump’s first impeachment trial, announced Thursday he is running for Spanberger’s congressional seat.

The hill, not Breitbart.
Was Youngkin’s victory in 2021 just an outlier in the transformation of Virginia into a “blue” state? Time will tell.
I had not see what voter turnout was in Virginia. But in “off off year” election cycles, where only the governor and state legislature is elected, I bet voter turnout is lower than the “off year” federal elections, and lower still than presidential election years.
Way to go, Ronna.
Virginia aka the swamp bedroom invented and perfected the STEAL. Years Past ......Car trunks containing come from behind dimcrat pluralities appear and a come from behind takes the thought we had won away. ????Always last to and late to report always democat ruled.
2020 fakery gave them more tools and time. We are screwed.
I don't see any stories in the news after last week's disclosure that she lives outside of the district that she won and failed to disclose her property ownership.

Youngkin is pushing the “2020 legitimate election” propaganda.
These clowns don’t figure it out until they get personally burned—and then are shocked when their fellow Republicans do not rise to support them after the latest post midnight steal burns them.

Yes.
Very good question and I wonder if the GOP has the spine, or desire, to actually contest the seat.
VA will never know without an audit.
Cheating Democrats used to worry about two things: Republican push-back and exposure by the media. But today’s Republicans just don’t care. And the media actually helps to cover up the cheating.
So why shouldn’t the Democrats cheat to maximum? There’d be no reason not to.
“Was Youngkin’s victory in 2021 just an outlier in the transformation of Virginia into a “blue” state?”
Absolutely.
Youngkin’s circumstances were very similar to the ones which Trump faced in 2016:
1. Both Trump and Youngkin were political outsiders (not career politicians) and had the luxury of facing the single most repugnant and unpopular Democrat available at the time (Hillary Clinton, Terry McAuliffe).
2. Democrats took both Republican candidates less than 100% seriously and therefore committed just a wee bit less fraud than usual. Youngkin (and some other fools) crowed about how they had conquered Democrat fraud in VA and claimed that their successful anti-fraud tactics would be repeated nationwide in the 2022 “Red” wave. Oops.
3. Overconfidence and lack of the usual amount of fraud was costly to the Democrats in 2016 and 2021, and STILL the Republicans just barely managed to win, under the most favorable conditions possible.
2025 in VA (and quite possibly 2024) will look a lot like 2020 did nationwide unless things change drastically.
The guy who ran against her should be the one bird-dogging this......
He’s already declared himself the winner, b/c her deceitfulness allowed him to run unopposed.
Virginia state senator who recently won reelection faces lawsuit over residency requirement
apnews.com, November 17, 2023
CHESTERFIELD, Va. (AP) — A Virginia state senator who recently won reelection is facing a call for an investigation from her opponent and a lawsuit from several of her neighbors over whether she actually lives in the new district she represents.
Democratic Sen. Ghazala Hashmi defeated Republican challenger Hayden Fisher by more than 13,000 votes in the Nov. 7 election. The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that Fisher said he is seeking an investigation and plans to ask state officials not to certify the results. Earlier this week, three Chesterfield residents filed a lawsuit alleging that Hashmi does not live in the new 15th District. The neighbors are asking for an injunction to block Hashmi’s election.
Under state law, lawmakers must live in the legislative district they represent.
According to county tax records, Hashmi has owned a home in Midlothian since 1999. That home is within the boundaries of the old 10th District that Hashmi represented before redistricting was completed. Her candidate filing paperwork lists an apartment in north Chesterfield within the boundaries of the new 15th District, where she ran for reelection this year.
Ronald Gay, listed in online court records as the lead plaintiff in the lawsuit filed by Hashmi’s neighbors, told the Times-Dispatch that he lives around the corner from the home Hashmi and her husband bought in 1999.
Gay said he sees her car and her husband’s car parked in the driveway of the house. “I walk my dog every day between 7:30 and 8 in the morning, and I see both cars then,” he said.
In a statement sent to The Associated Press on Friday, Aaron Mukerjee, an attorney for Hashmi, said Hashmi moved into her apartment in north Chesterfield in early 2023. Mukerjee said Hashmi updated her voter registration, car registration, and her driver’s license to reflect her new residence.
“She was therefore a resident of the 15th Senate District at the time she filed for the office, and she remains a resident of the 15th Senate District to this day,” Mukerjee said. “She has fully complied with Virginia law and we are confident this case will be dismissed.
Who knew there were that many dumb people in Virginia?
It appears that beta testing of the democrats election stealing methodology has been successful and the program has now been fully implemented.
WTVR 6 CBS: Will the court disqualify Virginia Sen. Ghazala Hashmi's win? CBS 6's political expert says it's unlikely.
It's a local TV pundit, so who knows?

Sweeping?
The petition to disqualify her also said Hashmi:
<><>used her Midlothian home address when making political contributions
<><>and that her home was used in promotional images on her campaign website.
Seems to indicate that’s where she thinks she lives.
