FIRST ON FOX: An internal memorandum circulated among lawmakers by Senate Commerce Committee Republicans highlights how the Biden administration is tying billions of dollars in taxpayer funds to "woke initiatives."

"There is racism physically built into some of our highways, and that’s why the jobs plan has specifically committed to reconnect some of the communities that were divided by these dollars," Buttigieg said in an interview with theGrio in 2021.
"Projects that have not sufficiently considered equity and barriers to opportunity in their planning, as determined by the Department, will be required to do so before receiving funds for construction," the DOT's NOFO states.
"Projects that have not sufficiently considered climate change and environmental justice in their planning, as determined by the Department, will be required to do so before receiving funds for construction," the document adds.
The two funding conditions cite President Biden's day-one executive order titled "Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government."
Sen Cruz' response:
"Congress must not allow the Department of Transportation to push the absurd concept of ‘racist roads’ to prevent Americans from getting much-needed improvements to their highways," it continued. "The funding notices issued by DOT should focus on the law as written, not woke priorities."
Did any rational person expect that committing $1 trillion dollars in an infrastructure bill to be administered and spent by the America hating Biden cabal would result in anything good?
“There is racism physically built into our highways,
......(sob) all those black roads (sniffle).........
and that’s why we are specifically committed to reconnect some
of the communities divided by these dollars,” Buttigieg once said.
Biden said “go for it, sweetheart.”
Realizing that this is fiction...it amazes me that a cabinet appointment could actually state and/or write things like this.
There is no other reasonable & logical conclusion.
Exhibit A as to why there should not be a federal department of transportation.
This is congress delighting the executive branch to write laws on a given subject.
This laziness of congress in writing laws has brought us to this.
The administrative state has given us the Deep State.
The Deep State has given us tyranny.
Well said.
I suspect the multitude of conditions will include things like, compelling engineer and construction firms working on highways to be staffed/owned by minorities, erect electronic “climate toll” receivers every 10 miles, include bike lanes on interstates - really the sky’s the limit on their imaginations. Government with no limits, welcome to our hell.
Same conclusion I made.
Exactly.
There ought to be a law - limiting the length of a bill and that it contain only one subject matter with no pork.
GMTA and as always, Occams Razor applies. The simplest explanation is almost always the right one.
A single sheet of paper, dbl-spaced would contain the absolute essence of every bill BS language, since day one. Instead of combining 73 bills into 2,194 pages, just one bill per submitance. KISS...
Their plan for “road Diet”.
They do not want to build new roads, but to destroy or impede the old ones.
They dismantled a freeway in Detroit because it was (for 60 years) dividing a Black neighborhood.
They getting rid of driving lanes to replace them with bike lanes.
Freeway money are held hostage, until a bike lane is build!
Lavish monies for more roads. foot paths, bike lanes, playgrounds, bus stops etc than needed, onto “minority neighborhoods” and let White Neighborhoods” languish and fall into disrepair.
