Vivek Ramaswamy struggles to gain traction with Iowa Republicans as critics question his path ahead

Ten minutes before Vivek Ramaswamy was to take the stage in a dated casino hotel in western Iowa, no one was in the conference room except for two staffers from the Iowa GOP, which organized the event, and a group of journalists.

Guests started trickling in at the time the event was scheduled. By the time Ramaswamy began his remarks an hour later, there were about 60 people.

Ramaswamy’s campaign said in early November that it would spend up to $8 million in advertising through the Iowa caucuses on Jan. 15. So far, the campaign has booked just $162,000 in broadcast and digital ads for the rest of the Iowa campaign, according to data from the media tracking firm AdImpact.

Haley and her allied super PAC have reserved nearly $3.5 million over that same period, while DeSantis and his allied super PAC have booked more than $3.3 million.

Another candidate that you have to ask why he is staying in the race...

Well, at least he's getting more people than desanctimonious is....

Interesting that they don’t ask about Nimroda, Christie, or any of the remaining candidates.

I’m thinking they fear Vivek being Trump’s VP, and would like to take him out as early as possible.

Another candidate that you have to ask why he is staying in the race...

1. He is doing a good job of establishing his brand, and not sabotaging possible future runs.

2. Of the remaining candidates, he is best positioned to get a VP pick.

3. If something happens to Trump, he is better positioned to pick up a healthy swath of Trump support.

4. He likes the attention and hearing himself talk.

Same path as everyone else. He’ll leave after Birdbrain and Desanctimonius leave.

Yet here you are obsessed with DeSantis, even while posting story from the reliably fictional AP, about Vivek. I wonder why?

When you're out of the race, no one talks about you.

he's building name recognition for 2028, or possibly a position in Trump Administration.

While he cannot be vice president due to the fact that he is not a natural-born citizen, Ramaswamy would be a good choice for a cabinet position in a second Trump Administration. For instance, he could be the Secretary of the Treasury. He could also be the chairman of the Federal Reserve System.

My favorite candidate after Trump. He would make a fabulous Press Secretary for the Trump administrations. Takes zero doo-doo from biased reporters.

Too soon for him to take any office, needs broader public recognition. Not everyone is a political junky like thee and me.

Not if you understand politics.

He is auditioning for a spot in the Trump Administration. It's that simple.

I’d like more info on his business history because all I’ve heard is his investors lost millions while he made millions; how’d that work?

Ramaswamy is running to be Trump's successor in 2028.

He has served the useful purpose of defending Trump and refuting the Republican establishment candidates in the debates, which hopefully will be coming to an end soon.

“God bless Vivek”

Which God? Brahma? Vishnu? Shiva?

“Truth Teller”

“Truth” to Vivek is whatever the audience wants to hear.

He has no path. Hes not eligible. He needs to run for the House or Senate as almost every seat will soon be open.

Bingo. Vivek is too dangerous for them. They want him gone. Likely because of his dismantling of Ukraine as none other would even dare. Or his takedown of the biased media.

He is smart and articulate and is fighting all the right creeps, keep on truckin!
