I’ve neither supported or rejected the Warren Commission or the CIA.

Just pointing out that everyone has their favorite theory about JFK and will reject anything that doesn’t align with their theory.

Even if the documentation ‘proved’ the CIA did it, there would be those convinced that documentation was a cover up since the Mafia really did it. Or vice versa.

“The reason I wouldn’t have voted for Goldwateristhat he jokes about Nuclear War...”

That’s what the democrat press (redundant) would have you believe. I enthusiastically voted for Goldwater! If you were there at the time and voted for Johnson, you would be spending the rest of your life hating your own guts.

I expect some government stalwarts to be along shortly defending the Warren Commission.

For sure - maybe even shutting down "Magic Bullet" deniers.

Hold on a minute - I hear a crashing noise at the front do........

I was in class in Air Force tech school at the time the news of the assassination broke (noonish as I recall). Even the instructor (a captain) blurted out something to the effect it must have been a right wing job because...Dallas. Never forgot..thought he was FOS.

One of the first cases of “Never Let A Crisis Go To Waste”.

It didn’t matter who did it, just use the opportunity to bash right-wingers.

Start with Crossfire Hurricane. Work your way back to Mark Felt. Understand how those two things are connected.

Now it’s not such a mystery anymore.

If you are going to kill a person of importance such as a President you hit them in the head with a blackjack and kick them down several flights of stairs. If alive when they hit the bottom, you use the blackjack several times on them.

Instead the news media wants us to believe a weird Byzantine scheme in which too many things can go wrong. I still believe the Commie did it.

Same for Bobby Kennedy’s murder by a Palestinian immigrant.

Was HW Bush head of the CIA then?

No.

He was sworn in within months of the CIA wrapping up "Watergate".

Years ago I read an article in Popular Science by Congressman Gerald Ford in which he said a thread from Oswald’s shirt had been found caught in the butt stock of the rifle.

What did you think when Reagan said, “We begin bombing in five minutes”?

I just can't understand how that happens legitimately

Do you understand what "sending a message" means?

That it was a joke. Yes, I think I would have voted for Goldwater, but he didn’t have a chance after Assination. JFK would have likely have beaten him 54 t0 46, but not swept in so many Liberals. No Great Society, likely some form of Medicare and edicaid. No reverse discrimination, and mabey Reagan runs in 68.

Gerald Ford and Arlen Specter were on the Warren Commission.
I just watched a three-part documentary- Kennedy: One Day in America.
In three parts. His early years, political career, assassination, what the ER doctors at Parkland saw, which directly contradicted the “official” version-
With interviews by the surviving doctors, Secret Service, and journalists.

It was very good, I recommend it, but it’s on Disney+ (National Geographic section).
In three parts.

The country was more conservative at the time, so JFK went with the flow.

I might add, Bill Clinton did the same. He knew how to play the game. That’s why he was “Slick Willie”, he learned a lot from JFK.
