A few weeks ago, I heard one of the game announcers refer to them as The Commadores.
They’re still the ‘Skins to a lot of fans, I’m sure.
They were named the Indians because of him...
They should have named the team The Conquistadores instead of The Commanders.
Rudy Giuliani called them the Comanches on his radio show.
I prefer the Commodes.
A lot of teams were named for the major industries in their area. Steelers, Packers and Oilers.
How about the Washington carjackers? Or Looters?
Their mascot could be Cooter the looter.

These Indian names were passed out to revive the heritage of the Indians. I believe it was a governemt project more or less....I forgot under which President.
One of my acquaintances calls them The Red Commandos.

I love this, I hope they win. Nothing I cant stand more than self loathing rich white men who wield social justice like their latest Gulfstream jet purchase. Most oppressed folks dont want white guy advocacy. It just goes to show most of the time these advocates dont even know the history behind their outrage. Fixing things that aren’t broken never ends well.
I wonder who is bankrolling this lawsuit. It’s a great story but it doesn’t have a prayer of going anywhere. The plaintiffs have no cause of action against the owner of this private business.

I began watching NFL football in 1972 when my Dad was stationed near Andrews AFB, and the Redskins were the only game in town. I became a rabid fan. That all changed for me when the kneeling began.
Before that, the NFL contributed to things that fostered the game and were largely non-political, but when that all started going down, and the league jumped right and took sides, I stopped watching.
I still watch to spend time with a friend, but I have no interest and don’t follow it anymore.
