Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Saturday that the wars raging in the Middle East and Europe, coupled with increasingly brazen “bullying” by China, have underscored the need for robust U.S. leadership on the global stage.
“Only one country on Earth can provide the kind of leadership that this moment demands…and that’s the United States of America,” said Mr. Austin, who warned that global security crises will only worsen if Washington chooses isolation over engagement.
“We’re living through challenging times,” the Democrat-appointed defense secretary said in the keynote address at the 10th annual Reagan National Defense Forum — a bipartisan event well attended by devotees to the former Republican president’s “peace through strength” foreign and national security doctrine.

Yeah, after causing said tumult due to lack of leadership.
The enemy is Socialism and Islam. If you got a leader pandering to either one than that leadership is the last thing you need.
Too bad. we have Democrats destroying our nation.
#1 rule for a first responder, if it isn’t safe for you, you cannot help any one, you will just add to the victim list of those needing help.
We're in Wiemarica and have no leadership to offer anyone.
The globalists who've put their lackeys in U.S. political positions have used it to spread deviance and disease throughout the world.
one word....trump...he may not be the man people LIKE but he’s the man people NEED!
“Lloyd Austin” and “US leadership” are mutually exclusive.
a.k.a.
“Don’t become part of the problem”.
FJB is leading the world straight to hell.
I remember the days of watching Saturday morning cartons...Sky King, Roy Rogers, cowboys and indians.....Americans were always the good guys....

Meanwhile an army of illegals is invading our country.
Most of the world hated us for decades. I’d rather be feared than “loved”, in that context.

That’s the real point. The only one.
The chaos is entirely due to this illegitimate, weak, incompetent adminstration.
These guys are like firemen who show up to a fire they started and shout “we’re here to help!”
Judging from the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle—$80B in military material, fixed and rotary wing aircraft, vehicles, crew-served weapons, ordnance, even K-9s abandoned to our mortal enemies—the best this military leadership can do for America, is as little as possible until we (hopefully) get through the last year of this never-ending nightmare without a cataclysmic event caused by their 3 stooges-tier ineptitude.
With the prior President the world had it and had peace and his SecDEF conspired to undermine the President at every turn in as duplicitous and, dare I say it, dishonorable manner possible. So all due respect, I don’t want the DOD telling us we need more war.
Well, they aren’t going to get any “U.S. leadership” from the U.S.
The military leadership under El Retardo is an absolute disgrace. They are all politically motivated, not for defending America but for climbing the rank ladder for themselves. They expend their energies trying to force our military personnel into faddish and ridiculous ideologies instead of molding an effective fighting force. They have driven potential recruits away with their ridiculous clownmanship. It’s a miracle we’ve survived these circus idiots so far.
