NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg warned that the Western military alliance should be ready for bad news from the Ukrainian front as Kyiv continues to defend against Russia's all-out invasion.
"Wars develop in phases," Stoltenberg said in an interview Saturday with German broadcaster ARD. "We have to support Ukraine in both good and bad times," he said.
"We should also be prepared for bad news,” Stoltenberg added, without being more specific.
His comments come as Western allies debate over ammunition and financial aid for Ukraine, and as Moscow boosts its troop levels. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on Friday to increase the number of soldiers by some 170,000 to a total of 1.3 million.

There has been a big surge in News here about the glorious Ukrainian army beating the snot out of the incompetent, decimated Russian forces. I figured that meant that Ukraine was losing badly. Now NATO is letting people know that Ukraine is losing badly. Hope this all ends soon, while some Ukrainians are still alive.

Winter is coming. The ground is freezing. The tanks will start to move. Russia has air superiority to protect their tanks. Ukraine is limited to drones and intelligence provided by NATO satellites.

Don’t worry, the US Military Industrial complex will continue to throw good money after bad.
The Russians are able to defend. But they can’t mount offensive operations in Ukraine.
The bad news is - their 10% cut is running out.
If it wasn’t part of the Russian Empire circa 1900, it’s very unlikely Russia will try to capture it.
The Russian planes will get shot down by the air defense system in Ukraine.
Ukraine will most definitely be “re-populated” with Arabs and Africans.
Remember, it is a WEF/NATO/DAVOS puppet and a laboratory for their social-engineering
The Russians have lost control of Kherson. Since then, the only city they’ve captured is Bakhmut, which is pretty insignificant.

Ukraine sure poured a lot of resources into defending that "insignificant" location, with even NATO advising them not to.
But the profitable enterprise of war will continue.
It's a war for markets, but the market is war itself and not wherever they happen to be fighting.
Assuming Zelensky is responsible for the decisions, I wouldn’t defend Bakhmut and I wouldn’t attempt the recent counteroffensive in South Ukraine.
