Historically, the times would be reverting back to what they used to be.

A time when not only teachers, but students carried guns to school. As recent as the early 1900's, there were gun clubs on high school campuses and some even had shooting ranges.

Since then, with schools becoming "gun free zones" (except for the criminals), there has been an increase in school shootings.

If only the criminals have guns on campus, there is an increased chance of innocent people getting shot on campus.
