Nuns buy Smith & Wesson shares, then sue to stop production of AR-style rifles

A coalition of Catholic nuns has filed a lawsuit against gunmaker Smith & Wesson, calling for the company to stop producing AR-style rifles, which the women claim are “the weapon of choice for numerous mass murderers.”

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in a Nevada district court, alleges that Smith & Wesson has repeatedly ignored “red flags” and failed to respond appropriately to mass shootings in the United States. The lawsuit references some of the deadliest mass killings in recent U.S. history — including at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., in 2012; a high school in Parkland, Fla., in 2018; and an elementary school in Uvalde, Tex., in 2022.

Smith & Wesson did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday evening. Lawrence Keane of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a trade group for gunmakers, described the lawsuit as “frivolous” in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

It's presented as news, but I have also marked it as an editorial. Because it is.

Once again, "God" as a metaphor for ruling class interests.

I thought I saw a report showing how few AR type rifles have been used in weapon deaths

Penguins need to STFU. I suggest they go after the pedophile priests or the homo-pope.

In medieval times, were there any coalitions trying to ban sword-smithing? Stop bows from being produced? Much less crossbows?

Strip their tax exemption for getting involved in politics.

The Pope’s as close to a commie as we’ve ever seen - and he’s not a fan of the United States either.

So Nuns standing against citizens being able to protect themselves isn’t a surprise. These women chose a gun that looks scary all the while knowing most violence is done by criminals using handguns.

Remember it’s NOT gun violence - it’s criminal violence. We don’t need fewer guns - we need fewer criminals. And we need spiritual leaders NOT more political ‘leaders’ - maybe the nuns can pass that on...

The article is pay-walled, but I guarantee you this “coalition of Catholic Nuns” is really some fringe, lesbian, woke, fake-interest group, who simply call themselves “Catholic nuns”

Nuns Against Guns versus Nuns With Guns is going be a bloodbath.

Interestingly enough, in 1139 Pope Innocent II tried to ban the crossbow because it gave an uncouth peasant an advantage against a noble knight in shining armor.

The crossbow ban didn’t work. Just like gun control doesn’t work.

So maybe these nuns should read up a little on Innocent II’s folly before mouthing off. And maybe take a look at the 2A as well.

Like it or not, and despite what the trolls here claim, Senate RINOs vote in VERY HIGH numbers for conservative judges (no idea why), but without those votes, Trump would not have seated a SINGLE Conservative judge - it would have been a judge that Schumer approved of, or an empty seat for Biden to fill.

And with the courts controlled by Leftists, lawsuits like this will END the Second Amendment - it’s THAT SIMPLE.

So I did some digging and the 4 groups of nuns involved are

The Adrian Dominican Sisters
Sisters of Bon Secours USA
Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia
Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus & Mary, U.S.-Ontario Province

Their websites are all woke, post-modern nonsense - promoting BLM, promoting “Ukraine,” Promoting transgenderism.

They all declare their mission as “social justice”

None of them wear the habit.

The largest order seemed to have about two-dozen old women

Exactly what I expected from fringe, post-Vatican II, feminist, dying religious orders.

The judge will rule they don’t have standing. They have to suffer a litigable loaa from S&W before they can sue.

PC Marxist nuns: https://adriandominicans.org

And, they represent the most disgusting nexus of the Catholic Church with Government: Catholic Charities.

So a scattering of old fools buy a few shares of SWBI and now they think they run the company.

They should go preach their BS in the street.

OOPS! That will get them arrested as Christion Domestic terrorists as the cop on the street is “not nuanced enough” to understand the mixed message they are portraying.

They could afford SWBI at $13 and change, they should be able to afford bail.

.
