I’m from Venezuela and our point of view is that Great Britain thinks they can get away with anything and did. But now Guyana is not part of Great Britain anymore. History, as we learned from school, is that the Esequibo region was taken from us, and all our maps showed the region cross-hatced and labeled ‘contested area’ or ‘zona en reclamación’
I’m sure there will be support by the general population in Venezuela since most think it is an area that belonged to us and was taken from us (from long before oil reserves were discovered in the region) So this can not be dismissed and should be taken seriously. It will be interesting to see how it will play out.
Ummm. I didn’t intend to disparage your husband. I am a bit amazed that was your interpretation of the post. I was being a bit tongue in cheek joke/jab about Russians being perceived as “boggiePerson”around the globe but definitely not related to you in any legal/religious contract/ceremony way. Since you read the entire comment as an insult or a personal attack against your husband, I will state that I wish the very best to your um um um, I guess just you. I’m sure there is a fine and patient gentlemam somewhere in a proximity that will now not be given a generic title. You are a Russian plant. Venezuela has Russian, Cuban and Iranian support. The economy there is failing, and Maduro’s masters think a war will distract the people from the awful economic conditions there.
So I am a plant, a Russian plant, for saying Venezuela isn’t Russia ? Odd. After several posters said this was Russia trying to start a war, I figured my geography was in dire need of a serious update. Wow, I learned that Russia isn’t a country in South America.
I don’t like Russia, Spent most of my career building weapons to use on them, China or some other dangerous adversary. However, most were used in Iraq to kill Saudi hijackers, Lydia to kill Syria or Saudi backed rebels and leave the country in a position to create more important new radical terrorists, force women back into their hefty bags, and my all time favorite effort in leaving equipment for ISIS Al-Qaeda/Muslim brotherhood.
However the reason Venezuela wants to screw around its neighbor are entirely different to Russia invading Ukraine. Understanding that difference appears to make me a Russian plant. Ok. You got me. Call the FIBs. Come get me. I’m sure after the J6, Catholics, home school moms, parents attending skool board meetings, then they will be right on me.
