'Death to Jews [sic]': Joshua's Tomb vandalized (by ISIS "Palestinians" with cheers to Oct 7 massacre)

The gravesite of Joshua bin Nun in Samaria was vandalized, with malicious graffiti, including encouragement of Hamas and the October 7 massacre.

Among the words spray-painted on the wall were, "Death to Jews[sic]," the names of terrorists who carried out attacks in Jerusalem, and other things.

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan called on the government and security forces to clamp down on terror in Judea and Samaria, just as the US dealt with ISIS.

"This is a barbaric hate crime and a terror attack in every way," he said. "We received another reminder that the enemy in Gaza and the enemy in Samaria have a single goal: to destroy the State of Israel and murder Jews."

"It is not coincidence that the barbarians do these two things together - using the same methods that ISIS used, to both hurt the soul and to murder Jews in a barbaric fashion, while at the same time also harming our historical roots here, in the holy places in Israel. They understand very well that everything starts from our roots, from our moral right to the land and our national honor."

"Under our watch, Samaria will not become Hamastan or Fatahistan. Whoever harms us, whoever harms our heritage, whoever harms our holy sites and national symbols - will not be here. The nation of Israel will be victorious."

Dozens of visitors arrive at Joshua's gravesite annually, in a number of organized trips secured by the IDF and security forces. In the village near Joshua's Tomb, Caleb ben Jephunneh is also buried.

Remember this when muslims tell you they “respect” the prophets that came before Muhammed.

I don’t believe Joshua is mentioned by name in the Quran; you’d have to go with some of the other Islamic literature to get their take on him.

But I would honestly wager that the fools who desecrated his tomb thought no further than “he’s a dead Israeli”, and had no regard for whatever their religion claimed about his prestige (if the thought even came to mind at all).

Sort of like ‘Christians’ who try to claim that Jesus was a socialist hippie that would be totally okay with gay marriage, or ‘Reform Jews’ who are essentially Jewish only by virtue of ethnicity, with views and political opinions that would have gotten them stoned in the days of Moses.

(This is, of course, taking for granted that it was Palestinian Muslims who made the graffiti; the story doesn’t state how the perpetrators were identified, if they even have been.)

**Dozens of visitors arrive at Joshua’s gravesite annually**

The pic shows structures that don’t appear to be even 100 years old. Joshua died almost 3500 years ago. Is it positively Joshua the son of Nun’s grave? Or did someone see an opportunity 75 years ago for tourist cash?

So it averages about 1 visitor (accompanied by IDF) a week? Nobody there to wound or kill? Just vandalism, such as found on buildings and structures all over Obidenistan. There’s much bigger fish to fry.

Maybe it is his tomb. I just find it to be a little bit amazing that it could be preserved for 3500 years; especially when izlums have had 1500 years to erase its existance, and put up a mosk there because mohamhead once maybe took a nap under a tree there.

Seeing pics of orthodox Jews praying there seems like borderline idolatry, imo. And, shows of religious piety does not impress God. (See: Pharisees)
