HOLY SH*T: Supreme Court will review 1512(c)(2), obstruction of an official proceeding case.

This is felony used against 300+ J6ers and represents half of Jack Smith's indictment against Trump.

If SCOTUS determines DOJ has misused the statute...will be a game changer.

There is room for hope. But the statute is really vague, and ripe for the picking by prosecutors , like the ones who were/are looking to pick on the J6 attendees. This is just the short version:

the real question is... if the election was fraudulent, state courts would not hear any cases (66+ cases dismissed without being heard), the states denied election audits, and the supreme court would not allow one of the two candidates to bring a case... what other options are there to stop the theft of the election?

jan 6th was the day they were certifying the election. congress people were saying how there were significant problems with the elections and they need to be investigated... but nancy disregarded them completely and pushed for the certification to finalize.

jan 6th was the last governmental option to stop the steal. there’s only one step after that.

The Supreme Court is on the verge of making the entire U.S. government irrelevant and illegitimate to at least half the American people.

This is a dangerous time. Whatever the Supreme Court fears from the DC criminals is nothing compared to what rejecting the majority of Americans will bring to their doorstep.

I thought in general that contradictions in the law should be interpreted to favor defendants.

they wanted the certification interrupted

the capitol was cleared in response to the pipe bombs

it was reconvened under emergency procedures ie no objections allowed

mission accomplished

Although this particular case may not be the precise moment for it, I feel that we are approaching a "final decision" of sorts that either says Trump is the greatest criminal in history OR determines that the Democrats staged a coup and illegally took over the US government. It will be one or the other. And either way, about half the country will start screaming for blood.

This isn't a matter of contradictions, but of interpretation and application of the statute.

Jan. 6 was engineered by the election thieves as an excuse to compel a rushed certification; they needed to thwart any chance that Congress would be able to hear discussion of irregularities from their members before certifying the electors votes, so they made it “unsafe” to do so.

A statute that is so vague that it can be used by political prosecutors to persecute their opponents is not constitutional in the United Stares. The Justices should rule the statute void and quash the indictments. Such statutes were used in the Soviet Union during the show trials and to fill the gulags with honest, decent people.

I wholeheartedly agree; let's hope and pray the SC sees it that way, too.

I’d be stunned if ACB and Kavanaugh don’t join the left with Roberts.

AND they terrorized the weak sisters like Kelly Loeffler into changing her vote.

Trump really is a political neophyte. He walked into a trap. He keeps thinking the world is the true blue place of our fantasies. The reality is that we let trash like the Calabresian Mafia into our Congress where they run their old world games.

Can you give some citations? I'm not doubting you; I'm genuinely curious. I thought the Calabrian Mafia was mostly into drug trafficking.

jan 6th was the day they were certifying the election

My understanding was that the 6th is when they were debating. The actual certification wasn't scheduled until the 7th.

And now he knows...he didn't become successful by falling for the same tricks time after time. He learns quickly and holds a grudge.

So if this turns out be a violation of civil rights, will those in jail be entitled to monetary compensation?
