Similar story I was watching on youtube yesterday... an FBI most wanted fugitive was eventually linked with a mysterious death years later in Canada of a man that was living under an alias:

The old joke used to be: “he stole more chain than he could carry.” Very offensive now - but 40-50 years ago, it was funny!
“Sounds like he was tired.....”
Well, after carrying all those chains while swimming, who can blame him?
I hope you are being sarcastic since he has been dead 25 years.
Chains work in mud or slick grass, or wet clay. They don’t arouse suspicion if they’re in the vehicle.
Whitey Bulger ping?
its sad that we mistrust our govt so much but we do.....
I thought surely it would have been Panbowl Lake.
A few days R&R and he’ll be good as new.
The FBI said that’s what you get for stealing more chains than you can swim with.
dead pedophile. good riddance.
Agree
Wonder if the FBI report stated he stole more chains then he could carry?.
Sounds like suicide.
[snip] On May 6, 1999, human remains were discovered in Lake Barkley, Lyon County, Kentucky, by two fishermen. The individual was located wrapped in heavy tire chains and anchored with a hydraulic jack... In 2016, the body of the victim was exhumed in hopes that further examinations would help make an identification... the victim remained unidentified... In 1999, Parham was residing in Fort Smith, Arkansas... awaiting trial on various criminal charges. [/snip]
