Maine Secretary of State Decision in Challenge to Trump Presidential Primary Petitions(She's a scowl. She stayed her own decision...LOL)
Maine Secretary of State ^ | Shenna Bellows

Posted on 12/29/2023 4:34:39 PM PST by Vendome

Given the compressed timeframe, the novel constitutional questions involved, the importance of this case, and impending ballot preparation deadlines, Secretary Bellows has suspended the effect of her decision until the Superior Court rules on any appeal, or the time to appeal has expired.

A copy of the decision is here: https://www.maine.gov/sos/news/2023/Decision%20in%20Challenge%20to%20Trump%20Presidential%20Primary%20Petitions.pdf

We need a Founding Fathers AI.

Pretty sure what the recommendation here would be...

What kind of lowlifes in Maine would elect this Demonicrat as Maine’s Secretary of State?

Don’t the citizens of Maine have any sense of shame?!?

“...suspended the effect of her decision until the Superior Court rules on any appeal, or the time to appeal has expired.”

Is that the same thing that the Colorado Supreme Court did?

These “people” are sick in the head, twisted, demented, anti-American and intent on fomenting a REAL insurrection.

Colorado Supreme Court self-stayed as well as long as under appeal/until SCOTUS rules. She got her 5 minutes of fame, but the backlash was a tsunami.

All SCOTUS has to do is follow their regular schedule & by the time they would get to this case, the primaries will be over tmwith Trump on the ballot - I heard this point made after people started taking the time to actually READ the Colorado ruling & realized they had self-stayed. The Libs were prematurely dancing on DJT’s political grave.

So, like Colorado, she gets the headlines, stirs things up, but at the end of the day Trump actually stays on the ballot. Well, hopefully the state legislature will still impeach her.

Liberals are cowards. Big talk when they have to upper hand. But they melt away at any serious opposition.

.

If the Republicans could manage to muster opposition to Biden one time, and Biden was taken off one ballot, the SCOTUS would be in Emergency session that night.

The Maine legislature. She was not elected by the people. I wonder if she knows what the word hubris means. She’s got just an undergrad. From middlebury liberal in Vermont. Craziness.

That is correct. The governor of the state of Maine is elected of course. Other cabinet officials are selected by the political party that has a majority of the total members in both the state house and senate which of course is the Democrats. There is no lieutenant governor in the state of Maine, so the Maine Secretary of State is next in line.

Bellows ran for the US Senate against Susan Collins in 2014 and got about 30% of the vote. If you read her bio in Wikipedia, it will be obvious that she is pretty far left.
