Well, Amazon is smiling.
And it is so nice to shop from phone or computer.
Who needs stores when soon, none of us will have any money.
Few can survive the retail theft by the perpetually-aggrieved
That money is still being spend, it is just being spent at Amazon and Costco.
The US has far more retail space than is needed. Our retail system is costly and inefficient.

One word sums it up:
BIDENOMICS!
Into 2024 we go. Let’s all get a great big head start:
The economy is booming!! Bidenomics are gold!!
And if you even say or think otherwise, you are a threat to “Our Democracy!!”
/s in case anyone thinks I am serious.
Shoplifting is surely a factor for some stores.
I distinctly recall during the Carter years driving by many strip malls with maybe one or two stores in them.
This number is meaningless without comparing it to the number of new stores opened.
Bed, Bath and Beyond lasted a lot longer than they should have.
They had no sales training program and were proud of it.
Did they filter the closed stores by city they were in?
My guess is 80% were in lib run cities.
BB&B should NEVER have dissed Mike Lindell and, by extension, every conservative in our nation. Talk about utterly tone deaf.
If everyone who was convicted of theft by a jury of their peers for say, anything over $250.00 in value, was sentenced to hard time for a minimum of 5 years, this crap would stop.
“...and some stores just not performing well in certain areas...”
Those “certain areas” being where they give away their inventory to non-paying customers.😎
point of order, Bed Bath & Beyond did it to itself...
The only thing that opens here is take out and resturaunts and the inevitable breweries.
How many were in black areas due to shoplifting/looting?
