House Democrats fighting to flip control of the chamber next year will first have to overcome an expected bloodbath in North Carolina, where Republicans have secured a new map all but guaranteeing a red wave in November.
GOP lawmakers in the state legislature approved a redistricting plan in October that sets the stage for Republicans to pick up at least three seats, and maybe four, in the 14-member delegation — a tally that, by itself, would double the GOP’s slender House majority on Capitol Hill.

The use of the phrase “red wave” would seem to forecast a lower than expected outcome for the GOP.
Oh don’t underestimate republicans ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

dems have already identified a dozen or more districts close enough to steal. Rs will end election night seemingly in control.....then over the next week or so we’ll see miraculous recount-comebacks by the demholes, complete with timely discovery of ‘missing’ ballots.

Thats cool but it just negates NYs guaranteed 4 seat pick up now that the GOP won on the democratic courts gerrymandering, the court threw it back to the democratic legislature to redo again.
IF There’s a way to cheat, rest assured, they’ll find it and use it to the utter most.
There would be a red wave if the Republicans ever went before cameras and succinctly and coherently voiced what the Republicans stood for while showing Democrats to be the money-grubbing tyrants they are.
Just the preliminary for “we need to do whatever is necessary to avoid a Republican take-over” ~ which translates to “Green light to cheat your asses off.”

It’s always irked me how “gerrymandering” is made an issue, mostly by the Democrats.
Gerrymander: verb: to divide or arrange (an area) into political units to give special advantages to one group
The only way you can UN-gerrymander one group is to gerrymander another.
This also presumes generalized political or other leanings based on race, a racist proposition.
It also implied that “people of color” are segregated into their own “ghettos” which must not be broken up by districting lines.
All racism, all the time.
I hope the Rat party loses big time.

This was guaranteed when we flipped two more judges on the state supreme court from Democrat to Republican.
Now the legislature will once again set the electoral map rather than the Democrat controlled state supreme court - as the state constitution requires. That means 3-4 Democrats are going to get canned from the US House.
Republicans are the party of no. That’s it. The answer no to everything. Never brings up ideas ever.
