In a barren field of sagebrush alongside a road through the Osoyoos Indian Band, Chief Clarence Louie stands atop a concrete pad and surveys the rubble in front of him.
This used to be the front entrance to St. Gregory's, the simple wooden church that hosted countless community celebrations, dinners and religious services, on the reserve just north of the Canada-U.S. border in central B.C.
The church had stood for more than one hundred years as a symbol of the Catholic faith, but on June 21, 2021, someone burned it to the ground.
Louie recalled being forced to go to the church as a child to learn the word of God. He didn't like it.

Canada has gone much farther down the road of Kristallnacht fascism by a few years than we in the U.S. have.
Remember, this is in retaliation for all those “mass graves” found by ground penetrating radar. Problem is, in digging no bodies were found. NONE! It seems the radar picked up rocks and tree roots.
But some people want to believe in mass graves so bad they will not give it up, even when none were there!
Others that died may have been from sickness and it was illegal to ship a body if it was infected.
What is the truth behind these children who were forced to go to Catholic schools? I was “forced” to go to school (and church) as a white child. I recently watched a TV series that showed a Catholic school that was routinely torturing and murdering Indian children. Sorry, I don’t recall the show’s name.
Do I think some abuses went on at these schools. Sure. But on what scale? 100 years ago, it wasn’t unknown to “abuse” children in American public schools. Corporal punishment, you know? When I was young, everyone knew they could be sent to the principal for a spanking if they misbehaved. Friends of mine who attended Catholic school feared the ruler armed nuns.
I also hear about all these graves. In the 1800s and early 1900s, childhood illnesses were pretty common. If the “anomalous readings” near these Catholic schools really are mass graves, they could be adults and children, school staff as well as students who died of natural causes from diseases common at that time. Of course, there might also be some who were murdered, but children are murdered nowadays, too. I’m not making light of it, just trying to discern truth.
I search online, and the topic seems heavily politicized. Is this a leftist attempt at historical revisionism to accuse whites and the Catholic Church of evil as well as to inflame racial tension?

All 33 of them.? That's about all they have in Canada, ain't it.?
I'll wager we have more churches in this county than there is in all of Canada..
Indian schools have a cemetery for those who die of disease. They can’t afford marble gravestones so use wood instead. Wood disintegrates over time. Presto, chango you have a mass grave. Now you have a reason for whackos to go on a spree of vengeance against churches. Similar lies led to the collapse of the Church in Ireland.
