Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin (WV) threatened President Joe Biden on Sunday with jumping into the presidential race on a third-party ticket.
If Manchin enters the race, he would siphon votes from Biden’s candidacy, dooming his reelection campaign. Many polls already show Biden trailing former President Donald Trump.
The West Virginia Democrat, who will retire from the Senate in 2024, told a private gathering in Connecticut that he will meet with Biden “in the coming days” to move him “to the center,” Fox Business’s Charles Gasparino reported Monday.

Manchin has said that what happened on January 6, 2021 was an insurrection by Trump supporters. He’s a party-line Democrat from a red state, and not a true centrist.

Trump will beat nobody, Biden or otherwise, in a landslide. The well-honed cheat machine will see to that.

Outside of the fact that there will be a lot of party crossovers voting Trump this election, Slo Joe M doesn’t seem to understand that true liberal voters, the ones he and Biden are playing to, are going to vote democratic and they have no idea who the third party is. And the humor in it is that neither could possibly win if the party splits. So this is a mute point and I’ll bet he won’t do it because he, and the liberals, know they need every vote they can possibly get whether legal or not.
