Sen. John Thune (R-SD) has locked arms with President Joe Biden in calling for a deal to surrender to unlimited migration that would include tens of billions in foreign aid to Ukraine. The retreat would hand the White House a key election year win and surrender the best leverage Republicans have had in decades to make substantive changes in border policies that could alleviate one of the American people’s greatest concerns potentially for generations. Senate negotiators have led efforts for months to pair some sort of border security package with billions of supplemental funding, primarily to advance Ukraine’s floundering war efforts against Russia. The war has been deadlocked for almost a year, with untold hundreds of billions spent and countless lives lost.

The key to killing this bill is what happens to it in the House if it gets that far. At the very least, congress should wait until after the election.
Indeed. Nothing but power hungry, money-grubbing US CoC surrogates looking for cheap labor (and on the left, for votes). They won’t even talk about how vast the sums are these illegal slags us up for their ancillary support in social services, education, law enforcement, medical disease prevention and care, diminution of pay for real citizens who compete (could) for the same jobs.....
Just once I’d like to see a truthful objective article that takes the menial job/work these illegals do and lists all of the additions he ends up causing to our society and shows it by add-ons to his hourly rate. The average Joe who needs some yardwork done goes to HD to get a Mexican/South American for a few bucks an hour but never sees the true cost of him being here.
This would not even get past a Senate filibuster much less make it to the floor of the House.

I hope Trump’s first task as President will be election reform, cleaning up all the fraud and illegals, etc. If we have open and honest elections, the voters can and will take care of the corruption.

AFAIK, the only good thing Thune did was in defeating Tom Daschle back in ‘04.
I would like to see republican “leadership” investigated and criminally prosecuted. Democrats next, of course, but republicans need to go first. You know that they are all criminals one way or the other and traitors taking lots of money from America’s enemies.
