Ron and his staff just had to follow this up with a juvenile tweet reminding everyone that he has the veto pen. Trump never asked Florida to pay his legal bills. Just another example of how tone deaf and inept Ron is and why 95% of Republicans rejected him.

Trump never asked Florida to pay his legal bills.

True but the proposal to set aside public funds was made by a member of the Fl legistature. DeSamtis was responding to the person making the proposal, not to Trump.

And he's right.

Maybe Trump should sue for damages due to judicial misconduct.

Fulton County GA would be bankrupt!

Yet, desantis had Florida spend up to $19 million to fly around 700 people, many not floridians, out of Israel as a p.r. stunt for his presidential campaign

I’ve read that the legal bills are up to a million dollars a day.

Ron DeSantis has handled this poorly, showing clearly that he woll not campaign for Donald Trump.

If the legislature wants to pass the bill, Ron should just sit down and “chut up.”

Is DeSanctus stuck on stupid, or what?

LAwfare is actually a violation of civil rights of President Trump. The FLorida Legisatuire os right to want to do battle with it.DeSanctus again, does not get it.

It looks like the desantis supporters/nevertrumpers are going to remain bitter, grudge holding poster working to make Trump look bad and get biden or what ever leftist the dems run, elected...

I guess they will go from having supported desantis, straight to nevertrumping, since they likely won’t have a chance to claim they now support haley after the NH prinary.

Sounds like DeSantis couldn’t take it anymore and thus his endorsement of Trump lasted less than 24 hours.

I suspect that is a RECORD short time for a major endorsement to last.

He’s being childish. Talk about not wanting to get back into the good graces of MAGA and Trump. His objection should have been private.

This guy is too dumb to ever be president, he’s a small little man without an ounce of strategic ability.

DeSantis didn’t feel the need to veto a bill removing the “resign-to-run” requirement for people seeking to run for president or vice president just before he announced his failed presidential bid.

It was just a coincidence that he personally benefited from signing that bill into law. /s

He had to make that dig public.

Kemp, GA does not like Trump. Add DeSantis ldoes not like Trump.

Both have not outgrown their childhood. Using politics to throw darts.

Pass it anyway and let Ronny veto it. Then pass it over his veto.

So you’re a New York Metropolitan Area conservative willingly living under the thumb of Kathy Hochul, and you have no problem first-naming our Florida governor, and letting us know just how much you disapprove of his juvenility? A belated welcome to Free Republic.

The powers that be backed DeSantis in order to split The Trump vote. His backers are still busy trying to drive that wedge. It’s what The GOPe always does. The GOPe wanted(wants) Nikki Haley. Don’t fall for it. Even if it comes from DeSantis himself. DeSantis endorsed Trump. Unite around Trump.
