UAW President: ‘A Great Majority’ of Union Workers ‘Will Not Vote’ for Biden
Breitbart ^ | 01/25/2024 | JOHN BINDER

Posted on 01/25/2024 1:47:39 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

United Auto Workers (UAW) President Shawn Fain said “a great majority” of American union workers in the auto industry “will not vote for” President Joe Biden against presumptive Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump.

“Look, let me be clear about this. A great majority of our members will not vote for President Biden. Yes, some will. But that’s the reality of this,” Fain told Neil Cavuto:

The majority of our members are going to vote with their paychecks, they’re going to vote for an economy that works for them, they’re going to vote for a president — when you look at these two presidents, the choice is very clear about which one stands up with the working class and stands up with labor and which one stands with the billionaire class and that’s his base. [Emphasis added]

The UAW members will vote for the guy who isn’t pushing electric vehicles which will cost them a ton of jobs.

The Democrats don’t really need the unions anymore.

Does not atter who they vote for in elections. That Union is evil. I will not buy a vehicle made in a UAW plant. Those workers need to change their Union officials or dump the union.

A union leader that recognizes reality. Union members are not necessarily driven by the same impulses that the leadership of that union feel are categorical imperatives, as most of them are not particularly ideological. Just either as persons displaced from other lines of work, or country boys come in from Tennessee, with a different work ethic than youth raised on city streets and used to the hustle from an early age.

“… a great majority” of American union workers in the auto industry “will not vote for” President Joe Biden…”

He forgot to add, “But we’ll take their money and give it to SloJo, anyway. So, suck on that, proles.”

It makes cavuto sick hearing those words…A TWOFER!

Until cavuto got the MS diagnosis he was a decent talking head, ever since then he’s become intolerable.

Another reason to turn-off Fox News.

Industrial unions it depends on where you’re at. Nationally not so much anymore. Michigan, WV, PA a few other places they matter. If you’re talking about government unions, they matter everywhere!

“ A union leader that recognizes reality.”

You’re not paying attention. Here’s what that “union leader” said yesterday with vigor!

It goes beyond that.

The UAW is one of those retarded labor unions that allows retirees to vote in their leadership elections. That’s one of the worst scenarios you can face as an active working member of a union.

With something like 200,000 more retirees than active working members, the UAW is always going to sell out the active workers for the benefit of the retirees on any given political issue or labor agreement provision.

Here’s hoping and praying that the UAW rank and file will defy Fain and do the right thing.

Meanwhile, I sincerely hope Brandon doesn’t complicate things in Michigan further by replacing Harris with Whitmer . . .

I though Fain claimed he was a socialist or communist?

Trump will protect more USA jobs
Trump’s economics will create many more new USA jobs
Trump respects working people

the D party policies are directly the opposite

workers are not stupid, many/most of them already have figured this out

They are going to vote for the man who outsourced UAW jobs to China. You don’t need transmissions, exhaust systems, fuel injectors, radiators etc when all you have to do is build a frame, steering column and install batteries (ok, oversimplified - but it also requires a different skill set, e.g. retraining or new workers). Heck, soon enough Chinese import EVs will be cheaper than any other car. Even Elon Musk has warned that the US will need tariffs on imported cars to keep the automotive industry... and with all these EV mandates it’s like “mandatory UAW job layoff mandate”. In Germany, 29% of all new car sales are Chinese made EVs - up from 7% the year earlier. The EU had to send a delegation to China to find a solution to save one of their biggest industries.

So yeah, the UAW wants to support this?
