UN Court’s Sick ‘Genocide’ Ruling Shames the Memory of 6 Million Jews on Holocaust Remembrance Day

The interim ruling of the UN International Court of Justice on Friday, coming a day before International Holocaust Remembrance Day, shames the memory of those who fought against genocide and of the 6 million Jews on whose ashes the Genocide Convention was built.

The ruling entertains the notion that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. That assertion is not only absurd, but malicious — and purposely so. The Convention defines genocide as “acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group.”

Any moral person knows this is not what is happening in Gaza. Lest we forget: Israel didn’t ask for this war, nor did Israel start it.

Yes, they are confusing genocide and “collateral damage”.

During WWII, the people who knew and were concerned about the Holocaust were begging FDR to bomb Auschwitz (and other camps)!
They were denied, because “some Jews will get killed there” in case of bombing (obviously).

Yes, there would be some Jews killed there (collateral damage), but maybe hundreds of thousands or more would be saved!

Some people actually think that this was lame excuse by FDR, because he was antisemite and wanted those people to perish? I do not know, what really motivated FDR in this case, but it was not right.

Western Allies (USA, England, Canada, France, Dutch) bombing Auschwitz was not a mission that had a necessary probability of success.

Blaming FDR, does not obtain.

I just started watching a fascinating two-part documentary series titled "Revenge: Our Dad the Nazi Killer." I downloaded it from a torrent site. I watched the first episode tonight. It's the story of a Jewish man named Boris Green, born in Belarus, who became a partisan fighter with a Russian unit in WWII. He and his brother Fima were the only two survivors of their family. After the war, the brothers moved to Australia. Boris's father was a watchmaker, and when he came to Australia, he opened up his own jewelry shop. He married and had a family. Three of his sons are featured in the documentary. The sons knew their father was a trained partisan who killed Nazis and Nazi collaborators during the war. The two older sons had an inkling that their father was involved in the murder of some Nazis that had been brought to Australia after the war. The youngest son was kind of out of the loop because the other two brothers never mentioned it. When he discovered his father's history, and his possible connection to the murder of Nazi criminals in Australia, he wanted to know more, so he hired a retired detective to investigate his father, and the deaths, to see if it was true.

When Nazis began arriving in Australia as "migrants", the Jewish community began reporting to officials, that they identified known Nazi criminals. Nothing was done about it. The journalist who reported the stories at the time said that the American and British governments put pressure on Australia to take some of them. According to the documentary, Australia conducted an investigation into the claims of Nazi migrants in the late 80's, and found that approximately 850 known Nazi criminals had been shipped to Australia. Many of those were found to have committed war crimes. The report also showed that the whereabouts of many of them was unknown.

I noticed a book in the video that was displayed on the table of the youngest son, so I looked it up on Amazon, and ordered it used for myself. It's titled "The Avengers: A Jewish War Story" by Rich Cohen.

They didn’t have to gas all of them, or take them out into the woods, and shoot them in the back of the head, or conduct medical experiments on them to kill them, because they starved, and worked many of them to death. And the Nazis utilized the help of local collaborators in countries like Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Ukraine to murder Jews. Not all the deaths of Jews happened in concentration camps. They happened in villages in all those countries.

In other words, the court’s Nazis outed themselves thoroughly and that’s all. They accomplished nothing else. And even outing themselves was worthless because anybody taking one look at the composition of the so-called court could see in advance who was sitting on the bench/ panel.

Before the German invasion, some 160,000 Jews resided in Kyiv. This was approximately 20 percent of the total population of the capital. Following the start of Operation Barbarossa in June 1941, approximately 100,000 Jews fled Kyiv or were already serving in the Soviet military. By the time the Germans occupied Kyiv, there were about 60,000 Jews remaining in the city - [this] included mostly women, children, the elderly, and those who were ill.

The Massacre at Babyn Yar (September 29–30, 1941)

During the first week of the German occupation of Kyiv, there were two major explosions. These explosions destroyed the German headquarters and areas around the main street of the city center (Khreshchatyk Street). A large number of German soldiers and officials were killed in the blasts. Though the explosions were caused by mines left by retreating Soviet soldiers and officials, the Germans used the sabotage as a pretext to murder those Jews who still remained in Kyiv.

On September 29–30, 1941, SS and German police units and their auxiliaries, under the guidance of members of Einsatzgruppe C, murdered a significant number of the Jewish population who remained in Kyiv. The massacre occurred at a ravine called Babyn Yar (sometimes spelled “Babi Yar” in English). At the time, the ravine was located just outside the city.

The killings at the Babyn Yar ravine continued until the fall of 1943, only a few days before the Soviets re-took control of Kyiv on November 6.

In January 1946, 15 members of the German police were tried in Kyiv for the crimes committed at Babyn Yar.

In 1959, Erich Koch, who had served as Reichskommissar in Ukraine, was tried and sentenced to death by a Polish court for crimes committed in occupied Poland during World War II. He was never tried or convicted for his war crimes in occupied Ukraine. Due to ill health, Koch’s sentence was commuted to life in prison. He died of natural causes in his prison cell at Barczewo prison in Poland on November 12, 1986.
