I did not know that. How bad was Ann Richards? I don’t live in Texas so I never heard of her.

She was the keynote speaker at the 1988 DNC

She brought down the house with this...

Ann Richards quote: Poor George [Bush], he can't help it. He was born...

I chose not to remember the horrible job she did as governor.

Ann Richards was the wicked witch from hell. All the same, prayers for Cecile-we are told that not even the worst among us are beyond the comfort of God’s mercy.

I'm surprised you don't remember her from when George H. W. Bush was running for President in 1988 against George Dukakis. She's famous for saying "Poor George, he can't help it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth."

Here's a short YouTube clip from her speech at the RAT Convention that year:

She was a Demonrat.....Texas Treasurer then Governor. She never impressed me to be anything but a smart-arse.

She was a nasty piece of work. Hopefully she repented of it but, I doubt it.

“How bad was Ann Richards?”

Think of a smart-ass obnoxious New York City puke but with a southern accent.
