Georgia agricultural commissioner warns ESG policies will 'destroy American agriculture'

Georgia Agricultural Commissioner Tyler Harper on Friday warned that environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) policies threaten to harm national security by impacting the nation's food production.

"Agriculture is national security and protection of our ag industry, putting food on our tables, clothes on our back, shelter over our heads, are an important part of allowing our nation to be successful. A nation that can't feed itself can't sustain itself," he said on the "Just the News, No Noise" television show.

Earlier in the week, Harper and a coalition of 11 other state agriculture officials wrote to the heads of Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo, demanding they account for their participation in a climate bloc and provide documents about any policies they enacted that could impact the agricultural sector.

"[T]hese type of policies will be detrimental and destroy American agriculture and the fact that these banks have signed on to agree to implementing these policies in their financial decisions," Harper said on the program. "And targeting agriculture is concerning. And Americans should be concerned that these type of woke policies ... will have detrimental impacts on American agriculture, which in turn will impact the American economy as a whole."

I'm glad Harper is speaking out on this issue. Unfortunately, Kemp is so busy bringing leftist foreign companies into the state, he has little time to deal with the problems ESG policies cause.

ESG is nothing compared to the climate change nonsense and regulation policies that will directly target farms and ranches.

They will just regulate them out of profitability if they get a chance.

an important part of allowing our nation to be successful.

One candidate is all about "America First".
The other candidate wants to destroy American agriculture.

How will the ballots go in Georgia this year? Hard to say, right Kemp?

From my understanding, they erased the ‘medieval warm period’, from the data they rely on, because it doesn’t fit the narrative and it was warmer then than the present.

Current readings are actually the lowest that Carbon dioxide has been is recorded history and the earth is not warmer than anytime throughout past.

Also warmer periods allow crops to flourish and actually cause less harm than extended cold periods. The left wants us cold and hungry while sitting in dark caves or mud huts. They, of course, will not have to suffer such indignities. For THEY need those apples and they need that milk in order to organize the masses and distribute the deliberately reduced resources. Welcome to WEF’s Agenda 30.

That’s the idea. The destruction IS the point! When are we going to wise up!

just remember friends...when the city folk realize up close and starving exactly WHERE food comes from and their leftist government isn’t supplying them they will become like crack addicts and look for food anywhere and everywhere else. they’ll be coming to your neck of the woods looking for food not realizing that farmers have backhoes and are always in need of cheap fertilizer. just fyi.

Shorting a society’s food supply is essentially an act of war but those that are actually in control of doing it are proxy servants of those leading the NWO/WEF. It would be prudent to remember who is doing it to us. Payback can be a booger.

Yeah, the state had a late freeze last spring and destroyed the 2023 peach crop. It was quite a financial hit on our south Georgia agriculture.
