Too incompetent to be prosecuted but not too incompetent to rule? How do you square this?
American Thinker ^ | 02/09/2024 | Marcus Ebenhack

Per Special counsel Robert Hur’s—a Republican, you’ll be reminded incessantly if you follow this story—findings in the Joe Biden classified documents case, Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified material after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen.”  I’m not a lawyer but I’m pretty sure this constitutes a felony, at least when a Republican or anyone not named Obama, Biden, or Clinton does it.  But Mr. Hur won’t bring charges because “Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview with him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

This brings to mind the story of Vincent “The Chin” Gigante, a mafioso who feigned insanity to avoid prosecution.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Mr. Biden, at this point, has the capacity to feign anything, least of all competence.  But he wasn’t a pathetic, senile caricature of his current self when these crimes were committed.  Hur’s decision to not charge reminds of James Comey’s speech exonerating Hillary Clinton of her national security breaches.

The difference here is Hur has the authority to charge or not, where Comey did not.  Many saw this as Comey taking his boss, then Attorey General Loretta Lynch, off the hook for making an obviously, politically charged call.

Democrat partisans are, naturally, calling the prosecutor’s report a hatchet job on the president.  If they were being honest they would thank him for putting what many would consider the final nail in Biden’s reelection fantasy.  It’s been widely speculated for some time that after acquiring the needed delegate count in the Democrat primaries that Biden would bow out of the race at the convention and throw his delegates to Michelle Obama, Gavin Newsome, or… God help us, Hillary.

That’s the story and they’re sticking to it like glue on hairy legs.

A thought:

The job title is NOT to rule, but to lead.

Yes, incompetent leadership. Can you remove the president of a company or organization for that?

Garland should bring charges, but he won’t, this is his cover.

The end result is this is a watershed issue, Biden crossed the line, he is clearly now unelectable.

The only question is how and when does he move on, and how and who replaces him.

Frustrating do much DUMB in the efforts to control. I have no sympathy for any of them.. They are still saying Trump committed insurgency.. They don’t want him to benefit.. He did not.
The border open, T was committed.. Gov is supposed to protect its citizens.

... No one in Washington cares.

I heard this morning that some GOP’er has said that, if Biden is not prosecuted for crimes he committed as Senator and/or VP because of senility, then he must be put out of office under the 25th Amendment.

Absolutely logical, and therefore it won’t happen in DC.

Hur cannot bring prosecution to DC jury. By the same reason that Clinton could not be prosecuted in 2000, and why the Democrat staffers were acquired few years ago. By the same reason, that Republicans loose even the most erroneous lawsuits in DC.
There is just no objective jury in DC!

But at least he called him old and senile, that about all he could do.

No reasonable prosecutor. Who didn’t see that coming?

Some time ago I concluded Biden would not be the candidate in November. As of now he’s lost CNN, and even MSNBC is rattled. Van Jones, David Axelrod, the people who massage the brains of Dem voters, nearly all in retreat. Rats in Congress just waiting for someone to issue orders.

We’re at the point where nobody should be worrying about prosecuting him. Throw him a retirement party, give him his gold watch and let’s worry about the 800lb. kamala in the Oval.

We have been at the poor memory thing before with democrats.

Fake Senator: Welcome to the Grand Jury, Mrs. Clinton. How are you?

Fake Hillary: I’m sorry, I don’t recall.

Fake Senator: How’s the book tour?

Fake Hillary: Uh, I’m sorry, I don’t recall.

Fake Senator: Well, let’s get started. Try to remember when you were a member of Rose Law Firm and worked White Water.

Fake Hillary: I don’t remember that big money lender. I was um baking cookies for my daughter.

Fake Senator: Well, Mrs. Clinton, don’t you remember that illegal tender and your shady friend that McDougal fellow?

Fake Hillary: I’m sorry, I can’t remember - my brain’s in a blender - it’s Jello! Could we get on with this please? I have to get back to my book tour.

Fake Senator: OK, Mrs. Clinton. Try to remember - and don’t blame your gender -for missing all this high corruption.

Fake Hillary: Well, excuse me - I don’t remember, and don’t blame my gender. I’m not just some bimbo eruption.

Fake Senator: Uh, no, I didn’t mean to imply that but come next November when Bill, the Big Spender, could come to his end for his peccadilloes.

Fake Hillary: Well I don’t think so because I can’t remember - my brain’s in a blender - it’s Jello!

Fake Senator: Are you getting tired? Would you like a recess?

Fake Hillary: I’m sorry, I don’t recall.

Fake Senator: Who is president of the United States?

Fake Hillary: I’m not sure I can remember that.

Fake Senator: This is very troubling

Fake Hillary: Well, pardon me!

Fake Senator: Only your husband can do that.

There are always enough Republican Turncoats willing to jump at the chance to vote with the Dems.

The MSM will say that Mean Republicans are “bullying” elder statesman Joe.

Yep. Between the lines Hurr was saying that Biden is incompetent to stand trial, he just didn’t have the guts to come out and say that.

Too incompetent to be prosecuted but not too incompetent to rule?

What's not being pointed out is that at the time Joe illegally took/stored and shared classified info, he did not have memory issues.

Does our justice system give a pass to felons because they have diminished memory some years after they committed the crime? NO, generally it does not!

Anyone who doesn't recognize that we have a two-tiered justice system is either stupid or intellectually dishonest.

It will be ignored. My general counsel is a former DOJ prosecutor back from when it wasn’t an entirely political organization.

He read the report at length. It’s a joke. Biden committed actual crimes, unlike Trump.

This was a blatant contortionist effort to avoid charging Biden and get him out of the way so the Democrats could prop up someone who could be elected.

I wish everyone to take a moment and consider these facts, now available to the public.

1. The Biden’s, that is the entire family. Had access to classified information with HUMAN sources and intelligence. That access, and those documents, are illegal for non-POTUS to have. The entire family was involved.

2. The payments between family members, of moneys brought in from foreign entities, profited everyone in the family including VPOTUS Joe Biden and his wife.

3. Joe Biden was “Willfully” removing classified material, complete with exposure of human resources (that’s spy’s in other countries being outed) to the tune of 19 boxes over many years. His family members were aware, did not report him, and profited from it.

That, by literal definition, is espionage and thus we have a Family Spy Ring.

Consider these other facts, that are not in dispute:

1. The FBI and CIA used taxpayer money to hide the existence and veracity of the Hunter Biden Laptop to prevent the public from being aware that the Biden’s were performing espionage.

2. Congress, under Nancy Pelosi, impeached a POTUS for asking if there was a VPOTUS involved in illegal activity and spying.

The obvious Conclusion is:

Investigation and legal attacks on Donald Trump have been an attempt by the Intelligence apparatus, Democrats, and sycophants, to prevent the American People from understanding that Joe Biden and his family have been Spies. That many within the circles of Government have been trading information for family positions in foreign government company jobs. That we have been compromised by our intelligence apparatus, legal system, and political parties to a point were we can no longer even recognize that it’s espionage.

What happens next is even worse:

They can’t charge those who have committed sedition and espionage because it would fill Gitmo to the brim. Therefore, using the intelligence services and the media is going to spin it for the 25th Amendment removal of Joe Biden without the prosecution that he and his enablers deserve.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding roles in the legal process. However, wasn't Hur's primary job to determine if the allegations had any substance to them? He determined that the illegal acts were done "willing" at a time when Brandon knew what he was doing.

Hur seems to have overstepped his boundaries when he decided for the jury. If you were an attorney for Brandon, would you let him take the stand? I sure wouldn't. So Hur is basing this decision on something that might not happen. Hur should bring charges, present the evidence, and let the jury make the call.

This case isn't just about punishing someone who committed a crime, allegedly, but also as an example to others down the road who are tempted to do the same thing.

Brandon's age and mental capacity is a factor for the judge to consider at the sentencing phase of the trial if it reaches that point.

Will this be the issue that will cause Brandon to have a meltdown if debates occur this fall? I could see Brandon making a snide comment about Trump's legal issues, to which Trump could respond that he doesn't have the old and senile defense available. As quickly as Brandon responded with that press conference, it tells you the special counsel hit a nerve.
