The 30-day legislative session ends at noon Thursday and all bills not passed by both houses die. There is an attempt to pass constitutional resolutions to be voted on by the electorate in November. These would would lengthen even-year 30-day sessions to 45 days and reduce odd-year 60-day sessions to 45 days. However, lengthening any session to greater than 30 days gives the "progressive" Dems more time to pass radical anti-constitutional laws like gun bills and expand their so-called "green" energy agenda, including shutting down the O&G energy sector in New Mexico.

There was some amendment to the bill offered by Republicans to exempt people who filed for restraining orders to obtain a firearm for personal protection.

That amendment was shot down by the Dems, the party that supposedly stands up for women.
