I've been to Kansas City. Seemed safe where I took my family to eat, where there were a lot of young black youths. It was a fried chicken eatery. The chicken was worth the risk, yum.

How could so many innocent children and adults have been shot if it’s either 3 guys or a small group of hotheaded persons of color who dissed each other? That’s a lot of mayhem for three guys. One dead and 21 wounded in a brief time. The Jets and the Sharks had several squaring off.
Like the Mandalay Hotel shooter at the music concert in Las Vegas in 2017, the government. leos and media should tell the truth if they don’t like uncomfortable conspiracy theories.

That I do, thanks. While working in San Francisco a few decades ago, me and my co-workers would sometimes go to the Western Addition neighborhood for lunch. Because the best fried chicken and ribs were at black restaurants there. Used to be that you had to be careful around there. But the area got gentrified, and a lot of blacks left SF. Safer now, but the black restaurants replaced with Asian places (India, Thai, Viet, etc.). Since retiring, rarely eat in SF (except for safe places like Irving Street near GG Park). Safer in the suburbs.
