Nolte: Kathy Hochul Fails to Reassure NY Businesses Trump Penalty ‘Nothing to Worry About’

Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) tried and failed to reassure businesses that they “have nothing to worry about” after a recent penalty ruling against former President Trump.

During an appearance on WABC 770 AM with The Cats Roundtable’s John Catsimatidis, Hochul was asked if New York businesses need to worry that if “they can do that to the former president, they can do that to anybody.”

“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about,” Hochul replied, “because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior.”

This after Trump did nothing wrong but was still fined $355 million and banned from conducting any business in the state of New York for three years.

This civil fraud case was a glaring act of political persecution brought by New York State Attorney General Letitia James, who could find no victim nor any malfeasance. The claim that Trump inflated the value of his property to get bank loans was absurd on its face. The lenders said Trump did nothing wrong. The loans were paid back with interest.

Make no mistake, this was not only election interference against the leading opposition leader; it was a warning to other New York businesses they had better not stray from the Democrat Party Plantation.

No one with any sense should do business in New York. In this state, the Rule of Law has been exterminated to attack opposition leaders like Trump over nothing more than political differences. Why would anyone remain in New York with that kind of threat constantly hanging over their head?

And you might think you are on the right side of political issues today… You might believe you are safe from this persecution from partisan attorneys general and judges today… But what about tomorrow? In less than a decade, Democrats went from embracing same-sex marriage to demanding men be allowed to share a locker room with your daughter and compete against her in sports. Where does the Democrat Party’s madness end? How much longer can a New York businessman remain in good political standing with the left? Democrats are already looking to normalize and legalize pedophilia. And let’s not forget…

Democrats now compel you to prove your fealty. It is no longer enough to remain silent. You must prove your loyalty by using the “correct” pronouns and hanging the “correct” signs because, in left-wing circles, silence equals death.

Hochul isn’t attempting to “reassure” New York businesses. What she’s doing is looking to sucker New York businesses into remaining and digging in further so they can be terrorized into doing the left’s political bidding or be bled dry like Trump Inc.

Ask yourself: If Trump is forced to pay that $335 million, who gets the money? No private person or corporation sued him. The state initiated this. So, who gets all that money?

Big business or small business, you’ve been warned. For no reason other than your political beliefs, you now know that the state is willing to swoop in and ruin you — steal everything you’ve worked for, smear your reputation, and annihilate your livelihood.

Donald Trump IS A LAW-ABIDING CITIZEN. They could find no crime he committed but decided to destroy him financially, ANYWAY.

NY used the same MO with EJ Carroll....passed a law lifting the statute of limitations FOR ONE YEAR for sexual assaults etc. Carroll filed her suit on the day after Hochul signed it into law and/or effective date.

The New York State Attorney General position has been a Democrat political hitman role going back to Eliot Spitzer.

In May 2004, Spitzer went after NYSE Stock Exchange CEO Dick Grasso for "excessive compensation." Grasso accused Spitzer of charging him just to make a name for himself. The NY court of appeals dismissed all charges against Grasso.

In May 2005, Spitzer went after American International Group (AIG) for insurance fraud. Spitzer filed a civil complaint against Maurice R. "Hank" Greenberg (Chairman and CEO) and Howard I. Smith (ex-CFO of AIG), alleging fraudulent business practice, securities fraud, common law fraud, and other violations of insurance and securities laws. Spitzer declined to bring any criminal charges against Greenberg, and two of the civil charges were dropped in September 2006.

In December 2005, John C. Whitehead, chairman of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, alleged that Spitzer had threatened him during a telephone call that took place in April 2005. Whitehead alleged that Spitzer called him regarding a Wall Street Journal opinion piece that he wrote about Spitzer's public comments regarding Maurice R. Greenberg. According to the allegation, Spitzer threatened, "Mr. Whitehead, it's now a war between us and you've fired the first shot. I will be coming after you. You will pay the price. This is only the beginning and you will pay dearly for what you have done. You will wish you had never written that letter." Spitzer has denied the allegation.

During Andrew Cuomo's tenure as Attorney General, it was discovered that Eliot Spitzer ordered the New York State Police to keep special records of then Senate majority leader Joseph Bruno's whereabouts when he traveled with police escorts in New York City. The created documents meant to cause political damage to Bruno. Spitzer (now Governor) responded by accepting responsibility and issuing an apology to Bruno.

Spitzer eventually resigned as Governer over a sexual scandal with a young prostitute. Cuomo also resigned as Governor over multiple sexual abuse allegations.

In August 2013, District Attorney Eric Schneiderman filed a $40 million civil lawsuit against Donald Trump for his "Trump University" alleging it to be an "unlicensed university"[30] and calling it a "bait-and-switch scheme". In October 2014, a New York judge found Trump personally liable for the institution's not having the required license.

In 2017, Schneiderman filed over 50 lawsuits opposing President Trump's environmental actions that sought to scrap numerous Obama-era environmental regulations.

Schneiderman later resigned over multiple sexual abuse allegations.

Barbara Underwood was appointed to fill out Schneiderman's remaining seven month term, and Letitia James won the next election for New York State Attorney General.

And that's where we are now. As DJ Casey Kasem used to say, "And the hits just keep on coming!"

So she is admitting that this was not a valid legal ruling and it is nothing but election interference. She should be impeached for that admission.

14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

"nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” The right to due process of law and equal protection of the law now applied to both the federal and state governments."

I feel that both these conditions have be violated against Trump in this case....

The NY Dims basically have to dance the line between saying, “Hey other real estate investors, don’t worry about us coming after you like we did Trump. He’s a special case because he’s our political enemy. But you know how to keep from becoming our political enemy — just toe the party line.” But they have to do that without making it obvious in appellate court and SCOTUS that Trump was political persecuted.

Bears repeating. Because now the parasites have broken the wall for another "income stream". You could even be on the 'right side', but if they need money, they'll manufacture some excuse.
And I would argue if a business has any type of physical presence in that state, that will be used to go after the business even if headquartered elsewhere--I might be wrong, but hasn't California tried to do that exact thing?

Bottom line: the people doing this PRODUCE NOTHING. Unless misery and strife are considered a product.
