Radical-left activist and former politician Nina Turner marked Presidents’ Day, the holiday officially named “Washington’s Birthday,” by attempting to vilify America’s first president and founding father as well as other early U.S. presidents.

In a post from Monday, Turner, a one-time Ohio state senator and current Senior fellow at Institute on Race, Power and Political Economy, wrote: “Reminder: George Washington owned human beings.”

Reminder: George Washington owned human beings.

In a follow-up post, she insisted “this President’s Day we must remember that 12 of the first 15 Presidents enslaved other human beings.”

“We must acknowledge how they shaped institutions and systems, and how those systems to this day uphold racism systemically,” she added.

Yes, and ≈ 600,000, mostly young, mostly White boys gave up their lives to put an end to slavery.

But that doesn’t matter to hateful racists like Nina Turner.

Their lives didn’t and don’t matter.

If she vilified George Washington in my house I would bodily throw her out.

She’s had a tough life.

It was no picnic being married to Ike Turner.

My Give a Damn wore out a long time ago.

You riot, you lose any credibility. I really don’t care. Never cared that much, but now really don’t.

All these black bastards want is to be LIKE their ancestors. They ENVY the martyrdom that pre-1965 blacks possessed, so they want to pretend they too are oppressed. Hoping to keep milking that pity that guilt-ridden white commies will lavish on them.

Did she mention he gave them their freedom and they never left the plantation.

Not exactly.

In his will Washington gave his slaves their freedom on the death of his wife.

Martha shortly after Washington’s death freed those slaves after reading of slaves murdering their masters in the Carolina.

She did not want the slaves to have a compelling reason to murder her.

Yes many of the slave remained on Washington’s plantation as wage workers. Being in Virginia it would be a long walk to a state where slavery was illegal.

This person should be angry all the blacks who sold their fellow man into slavery. She also should be angry at the thousands of blacks in this country who were slave owners years ago and thousands of blacks who now shoot and kill other blacks. They kill whites too but she wouldn’t care about that.

Actually that was maybe half of them.

But even then, most likely just fought “for union” (at the point of a gun) or for home. Not for darkies.

And what would have happened to the black slaves had George Washington not defeated the British?

They would probably have been hauled away by the British navy to fight in the various British colonial expansion wars in France, India, and the Far East.

Sure would. Because most of them were slave states.

Doesn’t matter the reason. Washington is the only one who actually made any provision for them to be freed.

Washington is the greatest man ever, regardless of this flaw. And the most adulated man ever, even if you include this hateful treasonous age.

I am always cautious about believing what people like this utter. Do they really believe what they say (most appear ignorant of the true history of this country), or have they secured a comfy gig for themselves which requires them to spout baseless tripe? I think most of them fall into the latter category.
