Lara Trump, former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law whom he endorsed as co-chair of the Republican National Committee, said Wednesday that she believes Republican voters are interested in the RNC funding Trump’s legal bills.

After speaking at the former president’s South Carolina campaign headquarters Wednesday evening, Lara Trump was asked by NBC News if she thinks the RNC paying for his legal bills is something that would be of interest to Republican voters.

“Absolutely. That’s why you’ve seen a GoFundMe get started,” she said in remarks to a gaggle of reporters, referring to a GoFundMe page set up by Trump’s supporters in response to his multiple legal battles. “That’s why people are furious right now and they see the attacks against him. They feel like it’s an attack, not just on Donald Trump, but on this country … So I think that is a big interest to people. Absolutely.” ....

You’re already paying for the prosecution against him, but his defense is a bridge too far?

It would be a legal way to send earmarked donations to a GOP POTUS’ defense fund.

What’s happening to Trump could happen to any American at the whim of any DA or AG. Trump just happens to be in the way. Latitia is a good example of limited intelligence in a political administrative position and ignoring the while being well paid.

With Ronna McDaniel's lavish spending on limos and other expensive perks, I doubt that there is much left.

I would support it, in principle, assuming they had the funds to do so, but I’m not so sure it would be wise, politically. They would need to tread carefully, if they’re considering it.

Back in the 1990s, the Republican House under Newt agreed to pay the legal fees of White House Travel Office head Billy Dale after being falsely accused by the Clintons of stealing money. They wanted to give the job to Hollywood producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, and fired Dale on false pretexts.
Dale appealed to the new Republican House majority, and they gave him his legal fees, about $500,000.
BTW, Billy Dale was a lifelong democrat, and started in the Travel Office when Johnson was president.
Anybody remember this? Nice people those democrats, eh?
The House should deduct the 350 million fine against Trump from the next appropriations bill and give it to Trump.

I’m not donating to either GoFundMe or the RNC. If Trump sets up and independent site, I would donate happily!

They’d have $$ if they were doing their jobs.

Besides, it’s a political expense.

“What’s happening to Trump could happen to any American”

Just look at civil asset forfiture. When they first started it, they were only going to take down a few mafia bosses. Now the cops sit on the side of the road waiting for some hapless out of state car collector to drive by pulling an empty trailer.

The Dems got rid of Sara Palin by filing multiple law suits and now they are doing it with Trump. We need to learn to play real dirty or forget about winning. I have no problem with this.

Sounds fair to me for two reasons. It’s 100% an enemy action against the republican candidate and has nothing to do with him personally. The republican party has a fair amount of culpability in the fact that these attacks are happening.
