My #1 issue is unnecessary foreign wars WITH BORROWED MONEY.
Haley is a top tier neocon, and will get involved in every unnecessary foreign war. Gabbard has seen wars font and center having served in military, and she is aligned with Trump agenda on this issue. I trust only my father 100%, everyone is subject to scrutiny. Between these two women, I trust Haley lot less.

I have no problem helping poorer Americans than me.

Actions speak louder than words. What the hello is she doing at CPAC?

I'm glad that you are getting something out of this CPAC. For me, the words "political action" are a part of the CPAC acronym, yet this event leads to none despite the speakers pointing out the obvious, major problems in this country.

“She shows none of the humility you’d expect from someone who’s discovered that she’d been wrong on so many issues, most of her life.”

This is most thoughtful critique of her I have read on this thread.

It is a bona fide red flag.

I would like to see her explain what she learned from her past—like David Horowitz’s brilliant “Radical Son”.

For those who don’t know the Horowitz story....he was raised in an avowedly Communist family in NYC—he was a true “red baby”.

He was a hard core leftist into his twenties—and then one event shocked him so badly that he re-evaluated his life and became the hard core conservative he is today.

He found out the Black Panthers murdered someone he knew.

Tulsi needs to explain what happened to her—otherwise her narrative has a huge hole.

Well said. I get your point about her helping Trump (possibly) get more of the white suburban female vote, but that’s overridden by the need to have someone solidly MAGA in the VP spot. The VP job, itself, may be mostly ceremonial, but it suddenly becomes very important if Trump is removed from office. This time around, Trump needs to disincentivize his removal with a VP choice who’s as solidly MAGA as he is.

Exactly. Daid Horowitz, Brandon Straka, pretty much anyone who’s genuinely broken from the left has a compelling story to tell. I haven’t heard Tulsi’s yet.

Reagan I don’t think was deep state ever.

Trump was a self interested celebrity, not deep state, but I think 9/11 and other events shocked him into being a patriot and overall conservative.

Tulsi I am sorry to say is conservative for a democrat (yeah I know she is an independent) but she is not actually conservative.

I’m against all proxy wars, which this country has been involved in since the Korean War. I’m also against unaccounted for taxpayer money sent aid foreign countries to fight these proxy wars. While we were fighting the spread of communism overseas all those years, it crept in the back door here without firing a shot. We shouldn’t be sending any money to any country for anything, when our own country is deliberately being destroyed right before our eyes. And I have no faith that Trump will be elected, because they’ll either murder him, or simply steal another election from him. I’m just glad I’m on the tail-end of my life, own nothing, and have no grandchildren to have to worry about.

Sad part is none of those proxy/unnecessary wars changed anything. Vietnam is still not a western style democracy. Iraq & Afghan war created a bigger mess by de-stabilizing dictator controlled middle-east countries. ISIS would be impossible to become powerful under Saddam. Afghanistan is still a backward radical Islamist country. What a bloody waste of blood & treasure. Even worst part is United States is in bigger debt from these wars. And the debt keeps getting bigger from Ukraine war.

"Sad part is none of those proxy/unnecessary wars changed anything."

Proxy wars killed a lot of people, ruined a lot of lives, left a lot of kids without a parent or parents, while making a lot of people who invest in war, a whole lot richer. And as you said, nothing changed afterward. Rinse and repeat.

My only brother was a U.S. Army Vietnam Vet. He was stationed in Cu Chi 1966-67, and died at the way too young age of 51 in 1995 of a massive heart attack. Left his widow and four kids. My two uncles from both sides of the family served overseas with the Army in WWII, came home, but died even younger than 51. One of those uncles was an only son. My great-uncle on my mother's side was the only son in that family, and served with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces in France in WWI. He was killed two months before the Armistice, and is buried in Wimille, France in a British Military Cemetery. He was 25. So many young people never even had the chance to live their lives, and the fat cat investors, just got fatter.

To: Macho MAGA Man

Her mother was born in Indiana and thus a citizen.

Her father was a US citizen (naturalize) at the time of her birth.

This is actually the old-school definiton of “natural born citizen” that the founders had in mind.

It doesn’t matter where you were born, what matters is your parental heritage.

This is the law in almost all of the rest of the world. Just because you are born in a country doesn’t mean you are a citizen of that county. It’s your parentage that counts.

The USA should eliminate birthright citizenship all together.

Here's your Tulsi Gabbard's comments on Trump's first impeachment when she was still in office:

“I could not in good conscience vote against impeachment because I believe President Trump is guilty of wrongdoing”

So she voted "Present." What a fighter!!

Gabbard will be used by the Trump campaign when they feel she can be effective. She'll never be a VP. I think even a cabinet position is a reach.

"She'll never be a VP. I think even a cabinet position is a reach."

Hopefully that will remain the fact. Some people here say she is ineligible to be V.P. due to having been born in Somoa. She ran unsuccessfully for President in 2020. I don't know what political future she is hoping for, but I'd never vote for her, and I don't understand why Trump would even have her at Mar-a-lago, especially after voting "present" in his first impeachment. She left Congress in January 2021 I believe. Supposedly left the Democrat party in October 2022. In December 2020, Gabbard endorsed, and her Tulsi Aloha PAC donated $2,800 to Democrat Nina Turner for the 2021 special election for Ohio's 11th congressional district. Turner lost to another Democrat. Both Gabbard and Turner had supported Bernie Sanders 2020 Presidential campaign.

I don't know how people here can think that Tulsi has turned on a dime and is believable now. She's good at saying what people want to hear, and unfortunately, there's plenty of gullible Republicans out there who like what she's saying.
