4 Items MASSIVE Price Increase at Grocery Stores in New York State
WYRK ^ | Feb 22, 2024 | Rob Banks

Groceries are going up again in New York State. It's wild.

You are going to look at some of the items and think how ridiculous the prices are. For example, wait until you see how much the regular price of peanut butter is at one local grocery store (and we are not talking about the JUMBO jar of peanut butter).

Price Tracker' from Katie Morse and Channel 2 is going on again where they will post weekly prices of some of the most common items at the most popular grocery stores. You can see an example below, but it is an awesome tool to see how all of the groceries are priced. Check out their tracker weekly as they update it each week…

I don’t care about NY or Chicago or any other blue urban city. I just don’t care anymore. I only care about what they are doing to the rest of us.

I suppose it is too much to hope that the “truckers strike” for NY is actually happening and having an effect.

Those prices are so cheap because stores subsidize them with truly exorbitant prices on organics.

Oh come on man, the last thing any proud liberal democrat city needs an abundant supply of affordable food and energy

So far there’s no indication the boycott even exists. Grocery shelves are fully stocked. Restaurants are full. Illegals are getting all they want of need from Adam’s. I doubt it ever develops into more than rumor.

When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come.” I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.”

Off the shelf medicine, increased 58% over the last 3 years.

Was $11:94, then $14.94, then $17.94, and 02/15/2024: $18.90.

When I was in Mexico I purchased some of my scripts there. Les’s than a third of my cost in the US. We’re getting gouged at every level. Wait til the credit card defaults get out of control, will they call it a depression then?

Not sure though the grocery prices are due to truckers. I don’t see that materializing into much. Much like other boycotts this will fizzle out when the income stream disappears. Truckers have bills to pay also.

My local supermarket now carries organic only for many greens. More expensive.

Likewise, pods instead of bagged coffee for most varieties.

Brand instead of generic on a number of items.

Dishwasher pods instead of powder.

Gummy vitamins instead of store brand tablets.

Narrower and narrower TP. Soon to be butt floss. Shorter and shorter paper towel sheets.

More empty space in each container. Air cushioning my eye. 3 inches at the end of a row of cookies is not cushioning, it’s space to rattle and break. 57.4 ounce half gallons.

On cruises, in some ports there are pharmacies a at our new we the pier. I get cipro and other things there. I might not be so comfortable with that now with the fentanyl problem.

Some truckers are demanding a premium of 30% to dive to NYC now - that may be driving up prices

“A premium of 30% to drive to NYC now”
That’s the way to get all truckers involved, combat pay.

Be careful with Cipro. It’s one of your doctor’s magic bullets when he encounters a resistant bacteria, which are increasingly more common these days. Habitual use of Cipro will select out bacteria resistant to it which will linger in your body even after the infection has passed. You’ll then be put in isolation whenever your in the hospital for fear of spreading your resistant bacteria to others, but at least you’ll have a room to yourself.
