The goals of the Ukrainian army’s offensive in the summer of 2023 and the size of combat groups formed to carry it out are to a certain extent comparable with what the German military fielded for its Operation Citadel in 1943. This gives us the grounds for calling Kiev’s offensive in the summer of 2023 Operation Citadel 2.0.
Considering its military-political consequences, the collapse of Citadel 2.0 meant not simply the Ukrainian army’s military-strategic defeat but also the collapse of the consolidated West’s hybrid blitzkrieg.
We can state boldly that the so-called counteroffensive attempted by the Ukrainian military in the summer of 2023 was an event against whose background all the other developments could hardly attract so much attention. This is not surprising because this counteroffensive was of key significance in the standoff between the West and Russia as its outcome largely shaped not only the situation in the special military operation area, Russia and Ukraine but also trends of the changing global situation.

Since this comes directly from the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences for Information Policy, there is no way it could possibly considered propaganda, since the Russian government only tells the unvarnished truth, unlike sources outside of Russian control.

The generals who planned both current Russian offensive and defensive tactics and defenses were trained by many of the individuals who, during WWII, fought multiple offensive and defensive operations on this very ground. I always thought this would be a substantial positive for the Russian military. One key similarity between WWII and the situation today is the predominance of various artillery systems on the battlefield.
As for the current alignment of forces, the war is essentially stalemated, but that could change depending on events, especially political and economic ones. What is clear though is that in the invasion of Ukraine, Russia lost her best troops and most modern equipment and is diminished as a military power without the ability to regenerate her forces.

There are history books out there that explain more than simply who attacked who in WWII. I don’t think the media masters have ever looked at the recent history of this area so you are clueless about it. The Russians fought multiple campaigns, defensive and offensive, on these battlefields. An 8th grade level history book will get you up to snuff if that is not beyond your ability to comprehend.
The most common western comparison I can think of would be the Nuland/Kagen Institute for the Study of War.
The ‘western’ view of what happened is written by the IC and should be printed on 2-ply quilted paper.

The Ukrainian forces are retreating into defensive positions today. It is obvious a major Russian offensive is coming in short order. The Russians just laid out how to build and layer defenses to defeat this Russian offensive. The idiots in the Pentagon won’t even consider trying to ape the overwhelming successful Russian stand. That is why the Russian offensive will also be an overwhelming success.
The analogy I like to throw back in the face of zeepers is the matter of Mexico, for which I’ve argued for years that we were justified YEARS ago for a military response to shut this shit down.
But under the current paradigm - which hypocritically includes rinos supporting the leftist views on Russia/ukraine - we should just roll over and take it (which is why I tar & feather rinos).
One little difference is that the Germans were trying to conquer Russian people and land weareas now the Russians are acting like the Germans trying to conquer Ukrainian people and land.
Am I wrong? Please instruct if critical thinking concludes otherwise.

If hardened, elite Ruskiy generals and professors with WWII experience are planning the war of liberation, they really miss the historical and existential point, IMHO.
Conquering a neighboring slavic state sounds more like being pi$$ed about losing the CCCP, (Ess-Ess-Ess-Ehr) than helping russian expats. The real enemy is surrounding their entire southern/
eastern flanks. Islamic respublicks and China plus Iran and Turkey are fat more a.danger to european Russia and russian culture. Putin needs to wake the hell up and stop dreaming of his time as KGB chief in the Soviet nightmare and prepare for the real battles ahead.
Poland and Hungary are the tripwire of Russian Suicide. The USA and Russia can avoid societal collapse but this soexial operation only helps Haji, IMHO.
