It seems that they are gearing up for something bigger than the current "SMO", aren't they? They are bringing the old Soviet military posture back.

Europe has said they are considering sending their soldiers.
It cannot be expected that Moscow wouldn’t respond to that in some way.

Nah, Putin is too stupid and incompetent for that

Putin's Russia can't even defeat a country 1/20th their size after 2 years, LOL

Guess you'll be staying angry and frustrated

Because feudalistic militarism is such an efficient way to run a country.

Putin’s deconstruction of Russia continues

* btw, the US treated the Vietnamese well, and now Vietnam loves the US

compare that with the lousy way Russia treats countries it invades, and what they think of Russia afterwards

“Putin’s Russia can’t even defeat a country 1/20th their size after 2 years, LOL”
Very poor analogy to use here. The U.S. spent about 14 years in Vietnam and lost then spent over 20 years in Afganistan and lost.

Hummm why is it Leningrad military district instead of St. Petersburg military district?
Is Stalingrad military district soon to come, dropping Russia and just call themselves USSR, and replace president with czar

No need for the facade anymore

Besides the obvious differences between Vietnam and American involvement in Afghanistan, I wouldn’t say US lost either war, we just quit

Seems like Soviet er ah Russian victory will end up much like their involvement in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Syria and Georgia

Additionally while perhaps stopping Ukrainian joining NATO and EU, they now have Finland and Sweden , something that never would have happened without putins invasion.

The toll on Ukraine has been harsh, the toll on Russia is also, just better insulated from ethnic Russians.

In the end don’t see this as much of a win for the Russian people, maybe putin. Will be interesting to see where this leads

Because feudalistic militarism is such an efficient way to run a country.

But it's the only way that Russians have ever known. The only one they're comfortable with. Some large proportion of Russians think Stalin was a great guy.

I’d worry if they brought back the Baltic, Western, and Kiev Military Districts.

>> Good. I hope they kick your ass.

Coming from a guy who apparently thinks Musollini’s Italy was a victim in WWII. Was imperial Japan also a victim? Was the Third Reich a victim?

Hardly the position an American conservative would take.

Its said that some Americans have become so demoralized they would cheer for our enemies.

The Russians aren’t coming to liberate you from the woke, from leftism, they are coming to liberate you from your property, the vestiges of your freedoms and your very lives.

Just ask any of the formerly captive nations in Eastern Europe if they want the Russians back as their rules. They have been there. They know.

This is why the Ukrainians pushed back hard.

>> cannot be expected that Moscow wouldn’t respond

Sweden was a neutral country for some 200 years. Finland was a neutral country for the entirety of the Cold War and, considering the most recent unpleasantries of the Winter War, they were very friendly with USSR/Russia and open to trate.

Then something happened to change that. What could they possibly be?
